This review annoys me. A review shouldn't be a guide to how to play the game. It should talk about the pros and cons, what was done well and not so well, new features, etc. Telling me the different jumps that Jak can perform tells me absolutely nothing about whether or not I would buy it.

I got to say, NaughtyDog did a FUCKING GREAT JOB WITH THIS GAME! Graphics are like PERFECT for a 2001 PS2 game. The storyline is perfect, and the levels are laid out perfectly. 4.5/5. The only complaint I have is there isn't enough bosses.

This is a great game. I can't even think of anything wrong with it, other than a bad camera, but that won't happen a lot. My favorite parts of the game was when you got to drive a vehicle, not that stupid Flut Flut. That thing was the worst fucking piece of shit in the game. The Jak and Daxter series is what Naughty Dog should have continued on to next gen consoles, not Crash.

Jak and Daxter was the first game I've ever owned for my ps2. Before that, it was Crash Bandicoot for the ps1. And for the ps3, of course Uncharted 2...I played Uncharted 1 after beating Uncharted 2 because I only had one choice of a game to get for my ps3 and my mind was locked on playing Uncharted 2 lol. All in all, I think Naughty Dog is an awesome company that evolves gaming as we know it with each game they release for a new console. There's other great company's but ND stands out to me :)

I love the sense of exploration and adventure. Should Naughty Dog make a new Jak for PS3, they should return to their roots and make it in this world. Maybe make an alternate timeline where Jak never went to the future.

best of the series. Jak 2 and 3 were good, but not as good. Great plot and mithology. Jak 2 and 3 are sandbox gta-like games... Jak 1 is a great game, I played it over and over again, cause I wanted more! in my opinion it was a bit underrated game. I got it with my ps2, it made me the hardcore gamer I am today

I bought this like 2 years after it came out, along with Jak 2 and Jak 3. I kept getting frustrated with the first 2 games and eventually beat the first. But now I went back to play this game and I finally finished it! It's pretty awesome haha. But there were times where I wished I could just take out my Peacemaker and nuke all those mofo's :| Guess that's the downside to playing the series backwards haha

Am I the only one that noticed some control issues with the game?The jump doesn't get read unless your at the peak of your jump and I've had times when the spin attack wasn't preformed.I am only at the second hub. You know, where you have to cross that lava land to get to.

if you ask me, there isn't enough stuff to collect. i have fully remembered where everything is at, all 101 power cells, and 2,000 precursor orbs. the story is fairly easy. still, love the game. second favorite series on the ps2.l

Yes i think you shoul get it. This is one of my favorite games ever, I bet you'll like it. It is challenging at some parts, there is boss battles through out the game but not many. If you just want to beat the final boss and ont really care about power cells, (You will need at least like 60 to complete it) You could probably beat th game in a day or 2. But If you try to get every power cell, Probably like 2 to 5 days.

2. The precursor orbs ARE important. They open the super secret door at the end of the game.

3. The "strange looking bird" is called a flut-flut.
