در جایی که * حاجی فیروز * یکی از بخش های آیین بزرگ نوروزی است و این نام و پدیده , پس از تاختن تازیان به ایران پدید آمد , زیرا آیین برده داری با اسلام به سرزمین ما آمد. ( در باره ی *حاجی فیروز* بگستردگی گفته شده است.)

Again, the point is that this fusion is, for good or bad, an integral part of who the Persians, Arabs, Turks...etc are, as much as Christianity is for the European nations.

You may lament the fact that the Persians with their great civilazation had the misfortune to be living among "barbarians," but then again, what was more calamitous, the Arab or the Mongol invasion?

What is happenning to day in Iran is not the result of Islam. Rather it is the result medievally-structured society and state.

Wrong analogy. By the way, I am in no way denying the greatness of the pre-Islamic Persian culture, or the way Islam was spread. All I am saying is that the fusion between Islam and the Persian civilization allowed for the greatest achievments in Medieval times in science, medicine and literature, all of which contributed to mainly by Persians. Arabs never say that the Islamic civilization was an Arabic achievement, even though it was the main medium of interaction in the Middle Ages.

If you had a deeper knowledge about the history of islam you would not write islam allowed Iranic culture(s) to achieve major accomplishments in science, because the first thing islam did was to *destroy* the scientific accomplishments (Gundishapur/Jondishapur between Shushtar and Dezful in Iran) and also Alexandria (Egypt), where centuries of scientific (math, medicine, astronomy, chemistry etc) achievemnets went up into smoke.

I enjoyed watching your video, but towards the end (minute 18:56) you made a statement that totally contradicted the main thesis of your speech. Your assertion in the video is that Iranians are cultured and not racist and that the African "slaves" were treated with respect and dignity in Iran and so on. However you go on to say that Pirooz, "the Iranian hero", should never be compared to, or more accurately, "placed at the level of a black slave". That statement is racist by all standards.

Goodfellow62, I beg to differ, I don't find this patronizing. What I hear is that in the ancient times slavery was forbidden in Zoroastrian. You mentioned "a respectable African", why would you have to be specific and qualify Africans? ;-) This nitpicking goes back to the comment u left 6 months ago. Africans are our ancestors. There's a theory supported by genetics that all races came from South Africa. It seems that all races will eventually mix into one Human race in North America.

For one, The right word is PaPa Norouz ( BaBa Norouz ) & Not Amou Norouz.  For Two PaPa was changed to BaBa Because Arabs could not Pronounce <P>. Third By the beginning of Ghajar Dynasty , The Mullahs based on their own dirty living and thinking changed PaPa Norouz to Amou Norouz to respect their own Mothers Because You can only have one Father. Forth, Papa Norouz exictence is as old as Norouz, from which Papa Noel & Santa Claus are inspired from.
