If you ask me the fans should be embarrassed to be there watching people in a somber, private family moment . I think we take fame and celebrity too far anymore. I mean really if any of us had to deal with this kind of thing... somebody would get punched in the mouth ...and have to go get their shit fixed.
The Jacksons have always said that they understand they are held in high regard by their fans. They are usually open and gracious with the public (remember, Micheal's service was held inside a massive auditorium). If you notice, the fans did not yell and scream. They were silent to show their support. Trust me, if Janet didn't want the public there, they would have been sent away...
@sflachuck That my be true of Janet and her family , they are in the public eye so they make concessions for fans. My point is that, so what if the Jackson's don't mind . It's still a family affair . And it's creepy to me how people have such a need to be there leering at people in morning... I mean come on. However to their credit , they were quiet and respectful. I just hate our obsession with celebrity . I adored Michael too. but he really was just a guy! R.I.P. Michael.
i am amazed at how quiet you guys are...did they tell you you couldn't talk or something? I mean...not one word or sound...no "i love you janet" or anything...hmmm...
@JanetJunkie I'm not saying they had to yell and scream...just a word of encouragement as she walked by...like when folks saw Katherine in Gary at certain points ppl just said "i love you" in a regular tone.
@pytofchitown that would be rude. you are at a cemetery. You are supposed to be quiet and respectful. Not cheering and having a good time. And would you really have it in your heart to annoy her on a day like that? Not to be bitter sounding, but it was a day for mourning. a day that she should allowed to be a human, not a celebrity.
@AuroraViolence hmmm...okaaayyy...never thought saying I love you to someone was disrespectful but okay to each his own...cuz I couldve sworn in the news footage when everybody came out of the mausoleum (janet included) fans were clapping, reaching out to touch her hand (and she touched them back) and saying "We love you" but whatever...guess it's a cultural thing, like I said 2 each his own.
@pytofchitown: Some things just take common sense to realize. There is nothing wrong with saying, "I love you", but there is a time and place for everything...If I was in Janet's shoes, I would not really take well for any extra stuff...I wanna be left alone so i can focus on remembering my brother...Did you think yelling would be appropriate? c'mon now..be real.
who is that lightskinned guy he is always with her
