I don't feel like wasting the time analyzing the hell out of this. You may or may not be right about the lip-syncing. But what those of you who don't understand the subtle differences between analog & digital don't seem to get, is that when digital is encoded, often the audio & video tracks come out to slightly different lengths, but still must be fit into the same time-frame.  This leads to an out-of-synch appearance. Seems legit to me.
