actually i connected the red and yellow wire together and it actually came on, it wasnt the first time i tried but i was surprised, your video gave me some good luck i guess thanks man
That happens cuz some new chevy models don't have the acc wire - check ur red wire with a power tester - most likely u will have to find a power source for it - most e-z way to do it is to go straight to the fuse box witch shuld b on the driver side I'll post up a video soon to show how to deal with the problem - subscribe got alot more videos coming soon
I have a chevy colorado '06, i bought a wiring harness and i connected all of the wires to the one on the harness yet whenever i plug the new radio in the unit does not power up but when i connect the factory radio it comes on great any ideas?
Did u do the install urself Ill b able to give u a better response if I knew how was the amp connected - - - does ur amp feel hot like to the touch? - does it go on protection mode ? Did u hook up the blue wire/ remote wire - to one of the wires that go to the ac control ?
HELP: when I put in my sound system the AC would randomly turn on. Maybe once per day my car will have air conditioning when i drive, and when i turn the car off... it wont come on for a day. In addition, i get a weird burning rubber like smell only different when i run both the AC and subs. This led to my amp/sub box burning out. My trunk was smoking like a bastard. (sub broke the audio coil but the amps ok). So why do i get that plasticy burning smell when i run both the AC and subs?
Hi Bro, I got a system installed in a cayenne. The system only played when the key was turned on ignition. I could not deal with that so I had a small switch installed that can turn on the system regardless of if the key is even in the ignition! The problem is that the system cuts out when I start the car. How can i hook it up so that when i start the engine it keeps playings? I took a wire from the battery an placed it to the wire that the switch controls but still it cuts!
No - any metal part of the car is ground - so as long as the brake wire from the deck is hooked up to any metal part of the car or deck - that makes it ground -
If it did turn on before check the fuse in the car ( the location of ur fuse box depends on the make and model of ur car ) u will ether need to pull them all one by one out to check if one of them is burned ( engine has to b off ) or just use a 12v tester - ( key on acc mode ) thir is 2 fuse that make the stereo get power - the constant power fuse and the acc - - - will make video soon on thiz subject -
The reason that happens is cuz ur bettery wire (yellow wire) is not connected Wher is suppose to b - u can pull out the deck and check it - it might b connected together with the acc wire(red wire) - e z fix - just get a current tester and find the constant power wire - best of luck
gd video! it really helps! but i only have a question.. my alpine is working perfect but any settings i make once the ignition is off and i turn it back on it shows the default settings! so for some reason it doesnt save my settings? how can i fix that?

MRshy13 2 months ago
I matched up all my colors, keeping the yellow and red seperate, but the radio will remain on no matter if the key is in the ignition or not.

by ground do you mean ground on the battery?

@MysteryUser2011
No, you gotta dangle it outside your car so it drags on the ground.
