I was kinda glad that I did not choose for Johns gift because I would have been like hrmmmmm I dunno what to do man and then just blindly pick. We will definitely plan ahead for Dragon Gate. YAMATO!
The halloween marathon was a lot of fun. The Eye was incredible and just very tension based and threw a twist in there to keep the tension going which really paced it really well. Same with The Strangers as well which definitely keeps it as our Halloween tradition. Should we add The Eye HK too?
@EddieRoadDogg Haha me too. I am for sure you would have picked Chikara cause its a PPV. And I would have been like but but but- YAMATO! lol
I loooove The Strangers. Do you want to add The Eye as an annual? For me, for it to be an annual it has to be a favorite like The Strangers. The Eye was phenomenal but wasnt a favorite and wasnt something I'd want to watch again and again. But we can add it if you want! Next year, we will start the marathon with The Uninvited. Im excited! XD
@MyBeautifulDisaster6 I hated Saw II. I like psychological stuff. I find Hostel, Hills Have Eyes, etc. boring. There's a few exceptions, I absolutely loved High Tension, which was gory but it was VERY tense so it wasn't just mindless, repetitive gore. Omigosh, she was not believable in The Eye. In the HK version, you actually believe that the woman is blind. In the American version, Alba is laughable. The Strangers is amazing! Really plays on paranoia fears and I'm reeally paranoid. Thanks! <33
@juicysparkles Also Saw 2 was my favorite Saw. Reason being is because of the conversations that the Jigsaw killer (John Kramer) had with the victim's dad (Detective Eric Matthews). John Kramer really opened up about his life and his work and explained WHY he does what he does and why he chooses the people he chooses. He tried to show Detective Matthews that he needs to APPRECIATE his son and not to push him away, which was foreshadowing because he knows what it's like to lose your child.
@juicysparkles Also, not only did John just lose his child, the child was unborn and was a miscarriage because a man broke into the hospital his wife was working at late that night and accidentally jammed the door handle into her abdomen. So John was showing him to LOVE your kids and appreciate the time you have with them, because you could have no time with them at all.
@seizetoday22 The traps just arent interesting to me and got played out like a quarter of the way through the movie. But I'm glad you liked it so much. Just did absolutely nothing for me.
WOW we have way more in common than I thought. I love DDR and Family Feud, lol. And I swear seeing you and Eddie together is like looking at me and John, haha. And I freaking HATE scary movies, hahaha. I'm not a big fan of them, especially with being born ON Halloween, not fun lol. Which it's funny because I love the Saw series even though you don't like them. I'm obsessed, but those movies are personal to me, haha.
@seizetoday22 Omg I love DDR! LOL. And Family Feud is so fun. Aww hehe <3 You guys are so cute together. Ugh, I hated Saw II. I was legit pissed that I got dragged to see it. I like stuff like The Eye though..it was so creepy! Haha yeah I was almost born on Halloween :P
@juicysparkles Lol thanks! I do lovez my John. And I loved the Saw movies. People watch them for the traps. You CAN'T do that, lol. I watched it because I got sucked into the story, the story is phenomenal, and as weird as this sounds, it really opened my eyes to appreciate my life and what I have because it could be worse. Not to mention the fact that if I had to fight for my life, I'd probably be too scared to fight for it. So it actually taught me a valuable lesson. Lol.
@seizetoday22 I just find movies where people are being tortured endlessly repetitive and boring. And I didn't like the plot to Saw II. It's like, okay so the woman was behind it..and? Lol it did nothing for me. But I'm glad you liked it so much and it taught you some lessons about your life!
Hey, Jessica Alba is not a terrible actress lol. I actually liked the Saw movies they're not as gory as I thought they were before I watched them. I've never seen The Strangers... Hmmm I like thriller movies so I might just have to watch it :). So glad you enjoyed your birthday sweets :).
