I hope people can get over the political bickering and realize that we are not trying to save the earth. We're trying to save western civilization/humanity. WAKE UP. Go to the we campaign's web site and sign the petitions. Use a push reel mower, drive a Prius or Ford Escape Hybrid (or even better save up for the electric vehicles Volt or Aptera coming out in 2010), buy green power from your energy provider, use terrapass ect. It's not a huge sacrifice, and it's absolutely the right thing to do.
Repost of the YOUCHOOSE "FRAUD" ENERGY QUESTION WINNER FOR THE GOP WHICH CNN DISQUALIFIED: Where are America's manufacturing and purchasing incentives for hybrids and alternative fuel source vehicles and how can we trust a party whcih refuses to promote the evolution of the combustion engine?
Has anyone else seen their new commercials with Al Sharpton and Pat Robertson? Good God, seeing those two agree on reducing CO2 emissions makes me want to go out and buy a few hundred cans of hairspray and throw them into a bonfire of Styrofoam cups. If Al Gore is so out of touch that he thinks Al and pat represent the spectrum of American political thought, then it's no wonder that he lost an election to a retarded person.
wow you really are special. Do you live in a cabin in the woods? Its funny how a video made so simple is still to difficult for some people. Let me help you. The point was that GW has been tagged as a Liberal issue and the "WE" Ads are trying to show that this is a GLOBAL issue for both Conservatives/Liberals; East/West; Rich/Poor; Developed/Undeveloped; Educated/Uneducated. Why? Because we only have "ONE" Earth and we all need the same stuff (Air, Water, Food).
Yeah, they are pandering to the neocons/Bush supporters by propagating neocon Bush supporter lies. That's what I said, stupid. All these ads do is promote the same false liberal/conservative dichotomy that has caused this country to constantly slide to the right, for the last few decades. Feel free to keep snuggling up to the fascists, though. They greatly appreciate "useful idiots" like yourself to help legitimize their radical agenda.
not sure how you get to Fascism, because Fascism by definition is a government, faction, movement, or political philosophy that raises nationalism, and frequently race, above the individual and is characterized by a centralized autocratic state governed by a dictatorial head, stringent organization of the economy and society, and aggressive repression of opposition. I think you are a bit of base and missing the point. This is a global problem that requires a global effort.
I think YOU seem to be the better "Idiot" because by definition an Idiot is referred to a "layman, person lacking professional skill", "person so mentally deficient as to be incapable of ordinary reasoning". Your conspiracy theory of GW is so off base that we can only conclude that you must be too special to understand this complex topic. I would suggest easier reading like "Oh Magazine" good tabloid reading for special people like you.
Yeah, only crazy conspiracy theorists think believe in the PATRIOT ACT or Camp X-Ray. All reasonable people know that President Bush is just a great feller who anyone would like to have a beer with. Dude, you are a retard. Come join us here in the real world once you finish smoking all that bud, bud.
Please everyone join WE and maybe we can make a difference. Also they are going to make ethonal now with praire grass which is like a weed and its easy to grow, manafacture, and it won't shorten world food supplys. Has anybody make bio-diesel yet?
"There is a clear attempt to establish truth not by scientific methods but by perpetual repetition."
Glad to see we've got a biter on that line of thinking now. Don't worry hun, you can too understand technical data with a poli-sci degree. (stifled laughs)
Obviously some of the people commenting on this video have been depending on the internet for their information about global warming instead of taking the time to read the scientific literature. This is a real problem.
In case anyone didn't hear the latest news, the earth is now cooling. Ask NASA or the other 3 agencies that track this stuff. Just like the earth came out of the ice age without American SUVs, earth is continuing to change without human interference.
Pollute? Try not to. But massive government subsidies for corn burning ethanol to dry up world food supply? No.
Oh great more propaganda from Al Gore. Sorry but the more you look, the more this "climate crisis" weakens into natural weather and climate phenomena. We should all do our part to recycle and save energy and stop pollution, but to do so by destroying our economy with carbon trading and credits and taxation is irresponsible. Just look how well that ethanol mandate is working out. My milege sucks and milk is $4 a gallon. Way to stick to the middle class and poor, enviro-mentals.
Spectreman, I don't think the US economy is being destroyed by carbon trading & credits, or indeed taxation. It is being destroyed by the people in charge of it (who incidentally have massively cut taxation since taking control) and their basic incompetence.
Perhaps if they'd kept you out of Iraq, you could have spent some of the $4,681 it has cost your household on milk, or maybe you'd like to see some of it put toward research on alternative fuels.
Firstly, LOL at the notion of the baby boomers ever EVER behaving as "responsible adults". Those guys pretty much squandered a 100 year lead that the US had over the rest of the world, after WWII. Also, what difference does it make what Americans do or don't do regarding climate change? The Chinese already put out almost as much CO2 as we do, and do you really think they are gonna put their industrial expansion on hold just because Al Gore tells them to?
You are so right. This commercial is totally inaccurate and offensive. "We didn't wait for someone else to guarantee civil rights." This statement is utterly ludicrous. YES we did wait to guarantee civil rights. The government was largely, TOTALLY OPPOSED to guaranteeing civil rights. And besides that, how the fuck could we have waiting for "someone else" AKA another country to guarantee civil rights to AMERICANS. I'm all for solving global warming and pollution, but this commercial is flawed.
I agree our government did wait to gurantee civil rights, but I think the meesage they are attempting to convey is that the "baby-boomer" generation brought about these changes in American history(with the exception of D Day) and that it is now up to them as "responsible" adults to do something about the crisis which they have helped to create. Just a thought.
i find it patently offensive that this group of know-nothings would compare themselves to our servicepeople or civil rights pioneers who sacrificed their lives that the rest of these hypocrites might espouse this "climate crisis" rubbish.
who writes this schmaltzy crap?! it's as if the producers of this spot think that feel good sentiments will get a reaction out of people. they think were all 8th graders!
This commercial is kind of stupid, we weren't the first country to give blacks civil rights. Canada, Europe, and a whole host of countries did it long before us.....
I totally agree with Surlybob. How awful to have that bouyont movie and connect Normandy with Dr. King's non-violence and then to, of all things, the landing on the moon. Obviously they're trying to reach every demographic. Tasteless. Phony.
Um, we were one of the last industrialized countries on Earth to grant full civil rights to its citizens. Also, we waited for the British, the Canadians and the Free French before beginning the invasion of Normandy. I guess we did put a man on the moon, though. Woo fucking hoo. Too bad it doesn't mean anything, since NASA is being shut down to free up more money for Halliburton to steal. If Gore is trying to out-Bush Bush, it's not gonna work. Everyone is either not listening or too informed.

Haha, like America did sign the kyoto 10 years ago. This is pure idealistic propaganda. A few problems of climate change are in the hands of America. Maybe it's time to realise that.
Al Gore's next commercial? Telling everyone about the record snowfall that happened all over the world this past winter, and then blaming that on global warming! I really wish I had $300 million in my pocket to spend on idiotic commercials.
The intensity of American ethical values are clear, there is no God. Someone had to break up the fight.
