I haven't tried the solid seat variety, so I can't really compare. I don't really need the cut-out feature anymore, so I have wondered if that just makes it harder to transfer. Sometimes my leg will get "stuck" in the cut-out. I purchased the shower bench when I first came home from rehab...then I used it for toileting and showering. I would be interested to try the solid bench variety. If I do I will let you know the comparison. Thx for your comment and for watching the videos.
