The biggest one is the radiation that exists in space and around the earth. The type of radiation that exists would require massive protection meters thick. Otherwise humans would be toast in no time.

China has published a set of impressive high resolution images of the moon, which show the moon in never-before-seen detail. And yes, evidence of the Apollo landing is in the shot.
The images are huge, at a resolution of over seven metres, and were taken by the country's Chang'e-2 moon orbiter.
The first images of their kind, they were released by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence (SASTIND) on Sunday Feb 5, 2012.

The biggest one is the radiation that exists in space and around the earth. The type of radiation that exists would require massive protection meters thick. Otherwise humans would be toast in no time.

The space ships that went to the moon used aluminum which would actually make things worse. @howitzer24 There are multiple modules that we sent to the moon. The Lunar Module that landed on the surface had the areas made of aluminium, but the Command Module was well shielded, and a NASA study determined that if there had been a solar event, the astronauts would have gotten 360 rads to their skin, which isn't good, but it wouldn't kill them before they got back to Earth.

hmmm Isn't there some sort of Law that says you can shoot someone if they repeatedly ignore warnings to get off your property? Or must you put up the 'Trespassers would be shot' sign first?
