Why is he an Alabama fan? HE obviously doesn't play on the team. I don't get these people that pick a favorite team (for something that's just a game) and make such a big deal about it. All the players on that team are from all over the place, and have nothing to do with you. If teams were representative of a religion, or race, or political party, I could see rooting for one......but otherwise it seems inane.

I can't make the promise Penn State will win, just like you can't guarantee Bama will win. I know we'll be ready and the crowd in the white house will be energized. It's a crowd described as somewhere between LSU's Death Valley and an English soccer crowd. Penn State has 9 starters back on D and 8 back on O.  I thought PSU was overrated by the press last year because it was a super young club. This year they will go in underrated and looking to make a statement. Just like I want it.

@lawtide1x We graduate 85% of players compared to Alabama's 67%, we are one of four programs (also Boston College, Stanford, and Northwestern) never to be hit with a major NCAA violation (this Bama-PSU series was scheduled for 2004-2005 but because of a Bama NCAA major violation was moved to 2010-2011). We sent the youngest team in Coach Paterno's tenure down there for the 2nd game of the year. All that matters is doing it the right way, the clean way, and improving. We'll be ready on Sept 10

Violations are a big deal, ask any player that gets denied a chance to play in a bowl game. Penn State has been a consistent D-1 winner and regularly graduates 80%+. You can only say that about Notre Dame, Penn State, and BC. In the term student-athlete, student comes before the athlete for a reason.
