  • Get out the jug and the washboard!!

  • Really lovely, thanks for this.

  • Morning Will,

I really like this one. Did you know you have had more hits for "Dimming of the Day" than David Gilmour's version?

    Kev Wright

  • Really? Hmmm... where's the cash!

  • the front porch boards link doesn't work. :(

  • Try it now... :-)

  • thanks; got it.

  • great vid! great song! would you mind posting the what you are doing at the end of the verses. there' a couple of chords and bass notes at the end of the verses that i cant quite get a handle of. love it!

    cheers!!

  • Well, the chords are posted in the "more info" link (top right) - and those are what I'm playing. ;-)

  • This is a great version of this song. The guitar work is wonderful.

  • thanks- i love this song!

  • Beautiful old drinking song

    Corkey

  • WONDERFUL!

    Thank you.

  • thank you man

  • Great fun

  • Great playing and singing! One thing I want to know is do others get lower back and shoulder back painfrom playing guitar? I started to play about 2 years ago and ever since I need chiropractic adjustments all the time. I've tried multiple different ways of holding the guitar from classical to other but to no avail. Any advice?

  • That's a difficult one! A good teacher should be able to advise here but, if you're encountering problems with different postures, I'd suggest taking advice from a sports or music physiotherapist, or a doctor who specialises in treating musicians. Just a thought...

  • Thanks I never heard of music physiotherapists but I will look for one.

  • Cool blues. Good fingerpicking style. I like it. Congratulations.

  • The appreciation you Brits have for our traditional music is amazing. I congratulate you on your fine taste.

  • you're awesome and very talented

  • TERRIFIC PERFORMANCE! This vid showcases your easy affable voice and manner with the lyrics and guitars. The song and genre looks at home with you in this vid.

The Memphis Jug Band and it's fussion of blues, pop, old time and country music makes the music so entertaining.

I am honored and a bit embarassed at the dedication. I am bowing in your general diection sir. Eric -

  • Cool! Who's playing the bass guitar, you?

  • Yup - it's a Tanglewood acoustic bass. Not hugely loud in a pure acoustic setting, but great when plugged in. :-)

  • Great song, great sound -cheer up a bit!

  • Very inspiring. Whenever I get down on playing my guitar I just need to watch your relaxed and precision playing. Thanks.

  • hi will very entertaining thanks
