is that saw a dedicated meat lobber? we got a smaller one thats only used for halving and quartering animals at my buddies house only canola oil is used for the bar, its way better than using a bone saw and sitting there for eternity.

when you use a gas saw do you use bar oil???? ive considered an eletric and use the meat and fat at lube to keep the oil off of the meat, is this ever a problem?
remove the bar oil, and run the saw for a while with the cooking oil. Cut the middle of th spine only, try not to touch the meet. Take your time, the saw will wander left or right if you go to fast

Most people find it easy to criticize things they've never experienced, so if you've never hunted with gun or bow, your assessment of "no skills" has no merit. i use a reciprcating saw with baracuda blade cuts way faster with a very nice clean cut. PS: very nice moose.
