Hello. I am going to Venice in feb for 7 days but 2 day swill be flying. I was wandering if you have any suggestions on places to stay, food etc. I was in Rome 2 years ago, and i was able to walk around th ewhole place in 2 days. is Venice like that? I hope so becuase I owuld like to see Florence sinc eit is a 2 hour train ride., any info woul dbe appreciated
@SPANKY5ful You will probably be able to walk around Venice in one day. It is not very big but there is so much to see you will not be able to take it all in in one or two days. Eating out in Venice can be very expensive so I recommend going to places off the beaten track, eg there are excellent pizza restaurants. Venice will not be that busy in feb but be warned it will probably be very cold and maybe wet as well. The Palazzo Priouli is a good hotel though there are many others.
Just wanted to say I found a picture of the winged lion on a pole and it fit the requirements for one of my art projects and I thought of this video and the book series I talked about when I found it and painted it!
@burdb2 Its a manga series, a comic book-ish type thats japanese but you can find it translated into english.I have to read it online but then I can listen to this at the same time! The first books are a small series of they're own called AQUA then the series continuing that is ARIA which has a anime TV show made of it.
I was interested in Venice by a book that had a story dealing with a city that was a replica of Venice but on mars! Anyways the book has a very calming flow to it and this fit perfectly as background music to read it to. Thank you!

No video or photo montage can do Venice justice. It's the one place I've visited in the world that far, far surpassed all my expectations. You can't turn around without being blown away by its beauty.
You were very lucky to have lived in Venice - and now Florence! We visited Florence but preferred Siena. We thought Florence was too hot, busy, hassly - we were there during the summer. But it is wonderful nevertheless.
Very nice, beautifully presented

Florence is a bit chaotic in the Summer but lovely all the same, and not far from the coast and countryside.
