@gj804 Er....my husband and I were engaged for 12. I was the one who didn't really care for marriage and kept putting it off, but finally caved in to his request. And now it's been 21 years (+12 before the wedding).

I don't think the plaintiff wrote that email. It sounded like something a person making up evidence would write:
"You're the reason I'm going to tell my fiance of 10 years I'm a gay man"
doesn't come out of someone's mouth or hand.
