  • is there no-gi judo? what do you do vs a guy in t-shirt and shorts..

  • @warwize Judo always had Ne Waza game, although neglected, with lots of Pins and holds and submissions. Just like BJJ´er...an Judoka can adpat his game to no-gi...Just have to be smart about it. By the way...a real fight in no way reflects a ADCC match...have you ever seen Marcelo Garcia in MMA ?! I did...and he sucked big time. Roger Gracie got KO´ed big time. I suggest you see Karo Parysian, Hector Lombard and Ronda Rousey...see how they do in No Gi...! Just my 2 cents to you.

  • @warwize I could ask you the same question you made, to almost all crazy positions BJJ has...would you do X-Guard, Spider guard, and all that mambo jumbo competition stuff in a real fight ?! Jimmy Pedro is a great judoka and he´s trying to improve BJJ´ers game with his tips. Don´t divide...respect both arts and practice booth. I do BJJ....just not the sport version, only to improve my newaza, and always go fpr the submission, no stalling and unfunctional positions to a real fight.

  • if thats what a "reverse" is called lol

  • I dont know if you have made one but could u send me a video on a basic but yet effective reverse throw?

  • RESPECT MR PEDRO thank u for this explanation !!!

  • very cool

  • Jimmy's gripping curriculum is so advance and should be used in every grappling art that utilizes a gi. We have similar strategies at USA Stars in Moore, Oklahoma under Pat Burris

  • cool!!!

  • jimmy has judo down to a science

  • Wow my instructor just taught on this same exact subject this week. Very nice

  • very helpful thanks

  • what kinda gi does Pedro use? Looks nice.

  • @icon115 Jimmy is wearing a Yawara and the uke is wearing a Jimmy Pedro Signature Mizuno

  • We work these gripping strategy religiously at Alliance Tallahassee, Great stuff

  • jimmy pedro you're the man, respect sir!

  • Great details. I can't wait to drill this.

  • Hilarious on the jump guard

  • @iamjason yeah if he told me that he was gonna do it then I would've been like "how the christ do I do that?" haha in Judo, their are techniques that give up your back but I have NO idea what the technique is to pull guard.

  • @RileyM0730 yo utilize sweeps and sublissions... but you gotta have judo in case you get an opportunity to throw and it just teaches you body controll and how bodys leverage work against and with eachother...

  • @iamjason hehehe

  • nice kouchi!!!!
