With the cost of post-secondary education in the US, the thing that is supposed to help you get a better paying job, it's no wonder that more people are falling into the "poor" category. People are so encumbered by debt when they graduate (assuming that they can even afford to take all 4 years). Add to that the recession, it's really not surprising, and it's rather sad.
I think the economy is horrible. I remember when you were poor because you just had too many expenses. Now, you'll be lucky to get a job let alone one that pays well. No position is safe unless your the guy calling the shots. Problem is, the road to becoming that guy is too pricey without luck and lots of money before hand.

my parents are self employed and can't afford to pay both their salaries. They can't get a loan from the bank because of that. My younger sister is entering college next year and I'm entering law school and my dad has to decide whether the two of us will have to take out loans... so yes, I'm not looking at the economy now too positively. Only three years ago did my parents truly believe that I would not need to take out loans for college.
I gotta disagree with you about lindsey lohan, i would argue it helps that she does that because money is getting put into the pocket of the people working thus putting money back into society , and in fact maybe she has help the economy i would almost argue we need more lindsey lohans in this world

People with heightened immune systems already exist. It's commonly called allergies (though more sever/rare diseases also occur when your immune system is too strong).
As for the job market/economuy, I'm more worried about being able to pay for college first...
republicans and democrats can blame each other all they want when they both are guilty of our poor economic conditions. How about instead of how its not our fault we suck it up and do what we can to help instead of passing the blame
our economy is messed up... and it will not get better until corruption goes down. @blackopsgurl21 look at this as a chance to have a positive impact on society.. if you notice a problem that is the first step to fixing it, make sure to stay positive though unlike those protesters.. a change being made in a negative or hate filled way will never lead to anything better, treat everyone with love and you will have a noticeable impact on the world around you.. don't forget people are still a part of nature and in a way this is really just the way of things
@verifymyageful You can't be really positive in living in a world like this. I mean I know you mean well but I can't get up to a raper or killer and say stop killing and raping because they probably won't listen. I treat my family with love and others who need it too but there is only so much you can do and sometimes it isn't enough to help.

I'm black and personally I love all the older time periods like the 50s much more than my own but I damn sure wouldn't want to grow up in them. I enjoy my education and revel in the fact that I don't have to worry constantly about being rejected from what I want and that being okay because of my skin tone. Gotta keep these things in mind.

@blackopsgurl21 yes that applies if you're white. Honestly if you're a minority the world still sucks but it's a much better place to be(at least in America). I'm black and personally I love all the older time periods like the 50s much more than my own but I damn sure wouldn't want to grow up in them. I enjoy my education and revel in the fact that I don't have to worry constantly about being rejected from what I want and that being okay because of my skin tone. Gotta keep these things in mind.

I believe if the economy stays the way it is for at least 10 more years it will effect the military and then a couple more years after that the military will be at such a low level some countries will attempt major attacks or even invade the U.S.A.

The country feels it, and the banks certainly feels it (bye-bye greedy bastards) but each individual haven't felt it.. If one thing goes wrong within the next 2 months, I will have to get out of my apartment. I'll lose it. Move back to my moms where she can't afford to take on me. And That WILL lead to problems money wise, then I may have to watch as everything falls apart while we turn homeless. I am so scared. But I push it away and keep on going doing what I need to do. Its all I can do at this point, I want to fight about it, but I can't risk losing my job.

The economy sux! I am a single mom of 3 & that is a job on its own.. I work & support my family on my own.. We live in poverty.. physically ugh, but not mentally. I had a job workin7 days a week makin $7.50 an hr! I also was walkin 1.5miles to work $1000 a month payin bills and supportin my children, no I didnt work in food I worked in nursing.. Tell me how U wud make it; a family of 4 wit $1000 monthly income! i did, now on 2 BIGGER&BETTER things 1% here we come!!
