  • a lot of great samples in here ;) classic

  • This vid is a favorite on Central African Republic

  • Did you spell thee for the reason I think you did?

  • sounds like the prodigy...

  • cant fault this........pure skill.....

  • You Rock!!!! That totally took me back! I think I want a W-30 again!

  • Your video is a favorite on Oman

  • Holy @#$%.....3 W30s? Sweet. That is really cool & the music sounds nice & all.....but I am just trying to figure out WHY anybody would have 3 W30s? Why 0 not 1, or maybe 2.....+ some Roland S-50, S-550, S-770, etc, rack mount samplers? Or, a W30, a rack mount sampler & then some other Korg, Yamaha, Roland, etc, keyboard & or modules, to diversify your sound library/palette? Oh well...to each there own i guess. If you want & can afford to buy 10 W30s....go for it. :-)

  • @gjc82071 It's the greatest piece of kit ever invented, duh! lol

Nah, they look cool, the sampler sounds good, the sequencer is powerful, it's absolute coolness.

  • @AnthonyDavid94 I have a (a means "1", LOL) W30 too. I also have the complete Roland Sound Library on 3 1⁄2-inch floppy disks & the Prosonus sound library. Personally I think the sequencer on the Korg O1W was/is the best of all. I prefer it even to the sequencer on my Korg Triton & Yamaha Motif (& or W30 or Korg M1).

I am really curious as to HOW you ended up with 3 W30s! Did you buy them all at once, or over a period of time? I've never seen 3 in the same place before. It's pretty cool!

  • @gjc82071 It's not my video :)

I wish I had one! I do have a S330 to still have that sound. I must admit I never bothered with the M1 sequencer... I use my Atari running Cubase. But I'm gonna get a W30 next year, it's good for live performances... What the hell I just want one. ;P

  • I felt like I was watching an Altern8 concert!!!

    I miss the 90's!!!

  • wicked. dude you gotta sell me the disks with these on. ive been sampling xstatic vol1 into the roland and it takes ages............ get some balnk disks and save the sounds on i will pay!. j

  • Oh gotta love it! Great work!

Brings back a lot of (good) memories...

  • is there a way to ready a midi music file, form the disk, like remapping the inrtuments on by a one?

  • Very nice!!!!

  • please help, is there a way to run midi songs (like general midi) in this keyboard? like a progman that convert the files to the keyboard que read, or maybe a mapping can be make? so thanks!

  • amazing, ??!!!!!!!!!

  • Superb performance and wicked old skool rave track.....love it!

  • can you sell one of this?! :)

  • While commenting on other comments on this video, I totally forgot to say how awesome this video is! Cheers.

  • i have had a w30 for sometime and have neva managed to get all the loops to sound right or get them equal lengths, have u just ripped em up from vinyl or cd, cos i recognise most of the samples, or has some one else done it, have mastered the sequencing side but not the sampling side, any info would be a great help, thanks in advance. pretty impressed!

  • @MrDrhousemd a lot of them come from zero-g sample libraries.

  • @0e0 zero g libraries????? what are or how do i get them and more like it, please let me know , much appreciated, thanks,

  • @MrDrhousemd well synthmania features a demo page of the zero-g libraries. if you google "x-static goldmine" i'm sure you can find a place to get them in any format. I have akai sample discs. but they came as cd-audio and other formats i'm sure.

  • @0e0 Hey, you got the Akai format disks???!!! I have an Akai S1000 and me and my mate (owns an S1100, S2000, S950) are desparately looking for those! Any chance you can share them? I will pay you.....I mean X-Static and Zero-G...

  • I love the Roland S-Series samplers. So much presence and character. I have an S-50 and S-330 rack that I used for a bunch of commercials in the 90's. I remember having the time of my life spending ages and ages exploration sampling to a floppy disk worth of memory.

  • Can you PLEASE please please put these disks up online somewhere? It's impossible to find these samples on Roland format floppy disk images. if you can't make disk images, i can mail you some floppies with an SASE if you send me a message. I'm dying to get good premade samples of this stuff, otherwise i'll have to resort to doing it myself off a burned version of Datafile 1

  • fantastic. we you care to share those disks with a fellow w-30 user. check my videos out. thanks j

  • Mate that is wicked! Never seen someone play a whole song freestyle specially with no sequencer help.

ps Like to see you keep um well polished!

  • @nikkifrosty100 Let me tell you one thing, three 5-octave keyboards seem better than 2-octave controller and a mouse and a cheesy Windows PC :)

  • @dvamateur I do agree to certain amount, but I see people always arguing which is best, hardware or software. I think in the middle best.

  • Well to a certain degree i do agree. I just use one for its sequencer when live and a controller in the studio. I adore the sampler, not the actual sampler, not mad on lofi samplers, but operating it I think its easier to use and more powerful than an akai in some aspects.

  • coool :D is any of the disks factory or did you sample all sounds by yourself? =)

  • Acid House a todo trapo.

  • old school

  • Dio ti benedica...

  • German Folk Music LOL

  • Ahhh, it brings back memories :)
