Germany made more than 20 peace offers to Britain in order to avoid the declaration of WW2, but the British decided to ignore them from the beginning.

German foreign minister Ribbentrop also made an offer to Poland for a 20 years non aggression pact, but the Poles rejected, encouraged by the British.

In fact Britain conspired with Poland and France to start WW2, and that was the reason why Hitler had to conquer western Europe.

Germany did NOT declare war on France and Britain!

No kidding?Then you pretend that you never heard that there WAS ALREADY A NON-AGGRESSION PACT SIGNED IN 1934?Hitler signed it and in 1939 he supposedly wanted to sign a non-aggression pact with Poland which he already had?Then that meant that he treated the existing pact like it was non-binding.The Germans were lying.

You say that Germany and Austria were united through the second reich for over 1000 years but the second reich was the German Empire, I think you meant the Holy Roman Empire.

So when Hitler brings back a sense of normality by establishing a new Reich and ending democracy this is supposed to be a good thing? (which it was), but when Dollfuss does essentially the same thing bringing an end to the republic, establishing austrofascism and attempting to eliminate partisan politics he's regarded as a despot? It's irrelevant if most people supported annexation, look how many people today support the EU, NATO, the UN ect.

They conveniently avoid talking about the beer hall thing with Hitler trying to first usurp power by violently overthrowing the current government, and all that he was groomed for and personally believed about his status as savior of Germany. It is always of course a matter of "versions" of history, but lets face it, Hitler's actions are of a mad man who was fully prepared and indeed did commit to war that consumed not only Germany's enemy's, but up to Germany itself.
