  • It sounds like the Luas in Dublin, even makes the same bell! Nice looks lovely, my brother went there for a few months with friends, and he said it was amazing.

  • Lols

  • And that tram net consider as usual Public transport

  • I live in Crimea Ukraine. There is located least tram net in the world, in Molochnoe village! There is only one way and branch in to depot. It is amazebly looks!!!

  • J'étais sur Nice pour trois mois en 2010 et - merci ces mémoires de ma vie quotidienne ! C'est intéressant que l'emphase est sur le MacDonald's et non le TNT (ou le MAMAC...)

  • She is so sexy and Latino women sarafox.info

  • I was living at Nice 15years ago. Really surprised at change!! Now I cant go there easily, so I am glad to watch a view of city. Thank you for posting!

  • Excellent...i was in Nice in December, 2009....Beautiful place, and this traim save lifes.

  • Andei nesse trem no ano passado (2009). Muito bom, barato e pontual. Serve toda a cidade até 1 da manhã.

  • Hello From America, very interesting film I been to Nice made atour video of the city please go to Google type in european tour videos this will direct you to web site's on line veiwing

  • Same As the Luas in Dublin

  • Check out... Blackpool trams.

  • oooh. next september i'm going to be studying there for 9months! :)

    ça sera bon!

  • bling bling city

  • you're wrong. Cannes is more "blong bling" as you're saying but Nice is more affordable.

  • isn't the tram free? i never paid for any tickets nor did anyone check for any....

  • No it is not. It's 1 euro per ticket but you can use the bus too with the same ticket.

  • haha. well then, i lucked out. never paid for that thing... ever. also, got on the train for free. funny how they never seem to check for tickets.

  • No you were very lucky. Checks are often made in trains and buses... But I never been checked (yet) in the tram...

  • i'm gonna live there for 6 months very soon... any recomendations.. im going to ceram university in sophia antipolis

  • the old town is the only place to go for a night out.

Everywhere else fails in comparison. Expect people dancing in the streets when they are shitfaced, but no trouble ever starts.

Simply find le Palais du justice (the courts) and there are bars all around there.

Also, from personal experience, there is never any need to buy a ticket for the tram, they never get inspected. I've gone all the way from the train station to the centre of the old town and nothing.

  • bad advice. buy tickets. now and then... a group of 15 guys from the tram board the tram and check every1s tickets..... 50 euro fine if you dont have one.

  • Nice is a pleasant place but beware, sometimes the streets are not safe at night if you're alone.

Anyway, Sophia Antipolis is not Nice, it's another town some kilometers aways... But close to the seaside too.

  • im there now, sat in a hotel "locarno" just wondering how im going to get back to UK when the weeks up...

  • What are you doing on the internet in Nice? - GO OUT AND ENJOY YOURSELF

  • oh i am mate dont worry, its the 1st time ive been its really nice makes a change to UK!!

  • Just had another great time in January,

so can't wait for a short break in Spring.

Being familiar to your beautiful town I heartily hope the municipality will keep it properly.Keep on the good job.

    Cheers!

  • I'm going next month.

I went last year. It was brilliant

  • i was there, bombastic

  • me too, fucking superb city!

  • they were building that while i was tehre and unfortunatley my hotle window overlooked the building site that used to be the main street,.. its good to see it finished though,.. we have had one in nottingham for a few years now,.. theyre very nippy :)

  • Totally amazing city. Went there in August and loved it. My sister lived and worked in an Irish bar near the town center. Thanks for posting!

  • I was here on our honeymoon and I almost didn't want to go back to the U.S. We could've stayed a month and not run out of things to do. We'll go back someday, I can guarantee you that! Thanks for posting

  • Thanks for the comment Rob. Next time you go to Nice, or even now to refresh your memory, look up my wifes website "allaboutnice", it is a labour of love.

  • I will do that! Thanks for the info :)

  • Thanks for the video: I'm going in 2 months time and looking fwd to it. And I've already been tipped off about your wife's site by a friend on TA - it's very impressive :-)

  • Hope you have a great time, there is plenty to do and see in Nice.

Aday ticket for the buses and trams is only 4euros, and I believe there is a new service with commentary.

  • Thnks for the comment, I am glad you enjoyed Nice. My wife has an extensive site about Nice with information about almost everything

    Google - allaboutnice.

  • Hi we are going next suday, we have not seen the trams yet we were there last June and they still we'rnt working, have all the roadworks now finished?

  • There may be still areas not finished. For example, in February, Place Garibaldi was undergoing major redevelopment, but all the main central are was otherwise complete. Have a great time!

  • Wow last time I was there it was a mess, it looks great now!

  • Congratulations Nice! Looks excellent.

  • Thanks very much for the video. It answers many questions for me.

  • You are welcome. I should mention that tickets are 1.30 Euros each or 10 euros for a 10 journey pass cash or card in the machine at each stop.

  • Merci beaucoup.

  • When I was there last week, a day pass cost € 4.00. The vending machines accept cash cards with the chips on them, otherwise only coins.

BTW I missed seeing the trams use only batteries south of the Jean Medecin and west of the Garibaldi stations because the tram I was on was full and standing room only. I wondered why the pantograph went down at some point.

I'd like to spend more time there and have a chance to also visit the Église Russe - too bad the tram doesn't go that way yet.

  • I agree, the trafffic in the tram areas is much reduced, and Place Garibaldi is transformed. I wish I had bought a propery overlooking the Place as the prices will shoot up.
