    Linux For The Win!

  • great. How do I do this in reverse? I have a file in a unix directory which I want to log in to, then FTP the file to a folder on a server.

  • @johnc1970 Hi, navigate to the directory of the file. Then use the FTP command and log in to the server. Then use "PUT filename" without the quotes and replace filename with your file + extension. this works because the folder you navigate to before executing FTP is now the CWD (Current Working Directory). Hope this helps!

    Cheers
