Wow, there's so much to it that I feel kinda lost right now... Awesome tutorial by the way, I'll definitely have to check out your website and read through the manuals.
Having no audio capabilities sets this program back a bit, but if you have audio to work with it can be quite fantastic. I found Reasons' sequencer to be less intuitive than logic or even fruity loops. Although i've read that Reason 4 has a new sequencer, i haven't had a chance to try it yet. Reason works on mac and pc. If your serious about sound, study signal flow. Once you understand how to process a signal, hit the tab key to flip over the rack and discover the true power of Reason.
Actually, the main problem with reason is no VSTi support, so I'm not sure what you are getting at with Audio, do you mean RECORDING, because thats why they have a program called REASON RECORD.
Wow....reason looks hard as hell...do you guys only use Reason because it's only for Macs or something? FL STudio is alot more basic, yet extremly powerful too. Very understandable. If some of you guys out there hvae windows, and you ahve just got/downloaded reason, i suggest you delete it and get Fl Stduio. But anyway, comment for the producer of this tutorial:
It looks very useful, although i dont understand it. Well done!
aha! Finally, something that gives me a bit of an idea about reason... well, basically showing me that there's an arse load more stuff to it than I first expected
great business model! im about to purchase your products on the website.. are these youtube videos included in any of these tutorials? thanks. please respond.
I'm an electronics technician and songwriter who has been baffled by other videos I have purchased regarding Subtractor.
I particularly liked the point where you explained that that Oscillator 1 was just using phase shift effect on itself before OSC2 was even switched on.
Wow, you have an amazingly mean voice. Like the calm psykopathic killers in scary movies. I really love it. I'f i we're a film-maker, i would cast you to my next scary movie due to your voice, without a doubt.
Yeah, sorry about this. All ensuing tutorials are much better balanced. This was my first time with the recording software and the levels came across a tad funky. I also, if it's any consolation, filled my boxers on playback and my wife left me in the process.
Great tutorial, thanks

Allow me to reduce your remarks to their purely (ill)logical form:
I do not understand Reason. So you should delete it from your computer. But good job explaining it -- "well done!" Even though I don't understand.

Why dont people like Steve Angello and Axwell use Reason? I've noticed it's not too popular with the house pros. Why is that?

because you're a n00b

i know people who mainly use cubase, but have reason linked in via rewire solely for the subtractor synth! you just have to know what your doing.
