He had an awesome start in the 08-09 season and the Nets were a suprise team at the half but then he just faded away after making the All-Star game and was never the same again....always a class act though. Good luck in Utah, but I think his days as a starter may be numbered.

Worse Mark Cuban trade thus far. Damn... Damn...Damn you Cuban!!!!!!! Got rid of Harris because he couldn't run Avery stagnat halfcourt style basket ball. Then fire Avery, Bing in Carlyle, to open the offense up for a running team with Jason. Let me get this strait. You trade the quickest PG in the game complaining he's not a halcourt PG, for a slower version of the same type PG, fire the previous coach because you want a running team to fit the style of the slower older PG you traded for???.

The trade didn't really turn out all that bad.

We traded Jamison for Stack and Harris.

We turned Stack and Harris into Marion and Kidd, which is way better.

Kidd gets about 8 pts, 7 rebs and 7 assists a game. He makes the players around him better. I think Harris is and was a "me first" kind of PG, unlike Kidd.

Besides, I think we may have found our Harris replacement in Roddy Beaubois...

Now wouldn't it be ironic if in 3 years, we trade Roddy B for Nash? haha

I'd say Kidd and Harris are the same right now. Kidd was better when he was younger, but now is Harris time too shine. Along with other young ones. Out with the old in with the younger.

I think Harris's numbers are inflated due to the team he's on. He wouldn't put up these numbers as a Mavs. Because he's on a worse team, and he's now the focal point, he gets better numbers.

I'm just saying it would be ironic since we traded our PG of the future for old Kidd. It'd be pretty funny if we did the same crap twice.

And I wouldn't say Harris is on a worse team, sure they don't win as many games as the Mavs, but I have had a much better time watching them rebuild then watching them make the playoffs with Kidd and lose in first or second round. So on that thought I'd say he's on the better team.

Kind of like Andre Miller, he was decent on the Nuggs, then when we was traded to the Sixers, his numbers got better because he became the main man. I'd expect his numbers to go down in Portland.

The Nets are building quite a team for a few years from now. Lee, Lopez, Harris and even Yi should be fun to watch.

Harris, Lee, Lopez, and even Yi are fun to watch now, I have a much better time watching these young guys then I had in 2006 watching Kidd, Carter, and Jefferson. So what you are talking they should be fun to watch in the future. Sure they won't win a lot of games, but still are fun to watch so far. And you don't know the Nets are worse at this point then when Harris was traded. The season hasn't started yet. No one knows how any teams will do guesses can be made, but no one knows

I'm saying the Nets are worse than the Mavericks. They are now, and they were when they made the trade. I'm not saying one Nets team was any better than the other.

I don't really see the Nets doing anything special soon, though. Not until all those old ass Celtics retire and theres a spot open for one of the top 3 in the East. And by then Detroit should be a hell of a lot better, and maybe Miami too.

Jason Kidd is a hall of famer. He used to be a machine. Now he's an average player who can still show flash and get numbers. IMO, Nets got a steal. NOT ONLY THAT. Nets got a steal in the draft, Brook Lopez. They're up 'n rising. Good season 08-09. Can't wait.

im a HUGE mavs fan!!! I really hate that they had to trade Devin Harris, but I think it was good for him. It gave him a chance to be the breakout player that we all know he can be and Im not so sure that he could have done it here. Im sure he could have, but we have Dirk and Josh Howard and Devin may have been overshadowed by them. Im glad he's doing well in New Jersey!!!! I just hate that we had to give up all that fineness!!!!
