  • three is just perfect for all of us :P

  • it was not him. it was her. that bi puta.

  • this song reminds me Quito

  • Beautiful song!

    It really turns me on.

  • Those strings and violins...during the chorus and near the end...send this tune to a whole different level. It sounds fantastic!!!

  • Bons tempos, me lembra essa música. Música da minha juventude. Muito boa ! Saudade!

  • this is the song that made me want to be a songwriter

  • "Oh no! This song mentions cigarettes!

    Lets bury it!"

That is the history of this song.

  • I loved this song when it first came out in the late 70's and I still love it.

No song fades out better than this classic.

  • Haven't heard it since 1980 when my friend Razi used to play to this song in his 1979 Chevrolet Malibu Classic which he had brought from Jim Hendricks Chevrolet(fairfax circle) which came with an 8 Track. And yes, he also had a 45rpm vinyl of the song.

  • @Garbanz Es cierto

  • @eliudnemo15 A veces ni siquiera saben quiénes son.

Sometimes they don't even know who they are.

  • Man I can't stop listening to this song. I've replayed it like a dozen times already. I had forgotten all about it until a couple of hours ago.

  • Just moved to Tempe, Az 1978 when this was out. A desert song for me for sure !!

  • A rock song with great strings, loved it 30 years ago and still today. Thanks Rupert

  • to the girl who screwed me over your loss bitch

  • This song has been stuck in my head for days now! Great song!

  • I totally agree. Working in Hartford radio at the time I used to love playing this far more that Pina Colada song. Wife and I were also splitting up about this time.

  • Holy crap...!?!?! Isn't it amazing how you can just listen to a tune & have the flood gates open up in your memory...? What a year 79 was...! ;P

  • Great solo in the middle of the song. Forget instruments. haha, Nice solo there though. Great song

  • This song got good play in L.A. The album is sensational. And I agree with Kell, this was not only better but was my fave at the time. Truly a great song. What a lot of DJs did was to turn up the volume as the song was fading to get every note out of the strings - which were beautiful and melodic. Give it a try with your volume nobs or dials and you'll hear what I mean. DJs did the same thing with the Beatles' Hey Jude as well as I Am The Walrus.

  • The late 70s had some awesome music.

  • This is his best!

  • I've been searching for this song's real artist for 2 years. Two years ago, I recieved a blue CD that one of my family relatives gave me and one of the track numbers included this song, between "You Got to Love Me" by --I forgot-- and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears For Fears. Now I knew after 2 years who sung this and it was Rupert Holmes. I keep coming here on YouTube now and then and I keep going by a lyric from this song "What is going do without him?". It was "Him" all along.

  • 俺はこの曲が大好きだ

  • 2:23 that moment is so dope

  • this song has a lotta dope little moments in it, has any MC ever sampled it for a track?

  • This song came from 1980-in my opinion, probably one of the best years musically, this song is top banana!

  • Hated The Pina Colada song; love this one.

  • the best of all with this song

  • Just seems to go with the movie of the era "Body Heat"....somehow does.

  • i know all about this it happens with alot of my exs i have alot

  • Great tight bass drive reminescent of studio legend Carol Kaye.

  • memories of a great era...he also did something like the pine collardo song from escape i think.

  • @forestgumpaed ayup "escape: the pina colada song"

  • They rock like this any more... take that as you see fit!

  • this song is dedicated to all girls without respect

  • Reminds me of a girlfriend I had in college. Except it wasnt "Him", it was "Them"

  • @rghall57 Ouch! Sorry dude...

  • @rghall57 *ouch* Sorry . . .

  • @rghall57 DAMN. That sucks. I feel ya though, I really do. Happened to me too. But we're so much better off without our two-timing backstabbing ex's.

  • @chronicchild3232 haha yeah i tell her it him or me

  • song dedicated to Michael Magliulo Jr. a sob.

  • I'm sorry dad , I'm sorry mum for being so mean , I'm sorry that on christmas you spend money on me and my brother , I'm sorry that you have to pay for us , I'm sorry that i had to hurt you just to be born into this world

  • @TigerCubBlue none of that is your fault!!!

  • Great song!!! Thanks for posting, We play alot of these great songs at

TOMA'S TIMELESS TUNES i hope you'll stop by and give a listen thanks again. Tommy Toma.

  • This brings back a lot of childhood memories of Red Bird Skateland in Duncanville TX!! So many good memories!!!

  • 4 stars!!! One of my favorite songs of the 70's. Was born in 1971. The greatest decade,. What happened to times like these?

  • @jsizer35 I was a teenager in the 70's and they totally sucked. You had NIxon, the Vietnam war, the oil embargo, terrible inflation, the cold war, the Iran hostage crisis. The music was good but that's about it. The only good thing to come out of the 70's was the personal computer.

  • @jsizer35 Hey! So was I! Born in March of 1971! Whooo! LOL!

  • @ldenisedavis Hey...happy 40th to you for your upcoming birthday!

  • @sibjoan Thank You! *cartwheel* *heel-click* *giggle*

  • my partner Tony

  • Great Tune! Better than "The Pina Colada Song". Too bad this one didn't get more attention.

  • @Kell0526 Totally agree!!!

  • @Kell0526 Don't bash "Escape".

  • @cloudbroken Liked "Escape" also. Just liked "Him" more.

  • @Kell0526 Didn't he just tell you not to bash "Escape"? Asshole.

  • @Kell0526 no way

  • Really good sound!!..and quality!!.. i love it....la cancion de jose jose El El es buena version tambien!...

  • EXISTE UNA VERSION EN FRANCES O ITALIANO, ALGUIEN LA TIENE? ES MAS O MENOS DE LA MISMA EPOCA Y CON UN GURPO EUROPEO (CREO)

  • Great tune. Although this song was less popular song than the "pina coloda song". This song has a great R&B vibe to it!!

  • Beautiful!!

  • Un video mejor merece esta excelente cancion.

  • Some memories, mega song, they dont make this sort of music anymore!

  • Reminds me of my ex-wife

  • @TheRobert2012 ... Is that good or bad ? ;- )

  • Like the words say, you shudn't be greedy and have two people on the go at one time you always get found out in the end.

  • I can relate to this song its not a good position to be in thats for sure.

  • ME GUSTA TAMBIEN EN ESPAÑOL CON JOSE JOSE

  • Hearing this song as an older person( was 13 when it came out in '80) it sounds as if its describing the movie of that time - "Body Heat". Funny.
