Shocking load of cack, Aaron Eckhart wasted by giving him truly cringeworthy monologues. Sickly emotional masturbation right through it and a meaningless plot. Rubbish alien scrapyard ships, and a seemingly endless search through layers and layers of oozing goo and skin in some boring search for an easy way to kill them. AAARGH global sea levels are dropping cos they're using our water for fuel.........good god what are they driving???? some nice effects - watch the trailer. its better.

Thi film was truly terrible and the entire plot is set in Santa Monica which may I point out IS NOT Los Angeles! Awful from start to finish do not waste your time or money watching this cliche ridden explosion of crap!

I enjoyed the film, although i did expect a fade in wedding ala Armageddon. It did feel like 2 hours of the screen writer fellating the marines, we get it they dont quit.

As a big HALO fan I couldn't help but wonder if this was some piss-poor attempt at trying to compensate for the fact a HALO film isn't going to be made. I only hope one never gets made because, by the looks of it, this is how it would turn out.

@scrubbychicken Exactly my thoughts on the film....amazingly i fell asleep for the last few minutes! It was like watching someone play the same level of a video game over and over....and over! It took itself far too seriously, the alien design was redundant and uninspiring. Some of the lines were just laughable and the cast was second rate.

I saw this pile of alien poo today, in Los Angeles no less.The only joy I got was from trying to spot my apartment building from the various shots of the city being shat upon from a great height by tin robot aliens.
