  • Such a lovely couple! She is Finnish, so she will have the strenght to go on, I know from experence how darn difficult it is, but she will... Voimia jaksakaa!!

  • what is it with Barbara Walters and Larry King? Sometimes they ask the stupidest questions.

  • What an amazing man he was and what a memory he leaves behind :) I can say I respect him so much and hope he is doing well where ever he might be…. And he got me 2:30 made me cry, the greatest thing in life is having that person who means the world to you and to know they will be there for you through everything. One of his greatest accomplishments in my eyes is his 33 years of marriage to the same woman, that doesn’t happen to much in Hollywood anymore, his soul mate indeed.

  • To bad they never got children, they should had someone carrie on thir talent

  • R I P Patrick you will always be remembered (always).

  • TEAR TREAR SO TOUCHING SO LOVING SUCH A LOVING COUPLE

  • je compatie pour lisa les deux allais bien enssemble!!!

  • A wonderful man who was a talented actor and an awesome dancer, who was taken before his time. Rest in Peace darling Patrick.

  • They had the kind of life that most of us can only dream about; their life was their heaven. I can't help but be envious. But then the pain of cancer must be terrible; I can't imagine. Rest in peace Patrick Swayze.

  • Patrick Swayze was a great actor there is only one that comes by who is this special in our life time I loved all your movies... A beautiful man that will live in our hearts forever thank you Patrick for the movies we love you.

  • @denmasxe

No, that crackpot conspiracy theorist is incorrect.and your movie link doesnt even work you moron.

Europe has many problems but underpopulation is rather low on the list.

    now go piss off.

  • We'll always love you Patrick.

  • j'aimais voir lisa et patrick enssemble que du bonheur !!!...

  • I thought I was on a Patrick Swayze video. My God, these debates have nothing to do with Patrick. I'm gone to a real Patrick tribute video.

  • I honestly believe one of the reasons why they had such a good marriage is because they never had children.

Children are a HUGE strain on a marriage.

  • I cannot imagine a more selfish comment. So typical of this generation. I guess you're thankful that your parents had you.

  • Get over yourself. The world's population has reached almost 7 billion. and we can't even sustain that. Millions of children die everyday from hunger and other things because their parents cannot take care of them. Millions of children are abused and neglected by people who should have never had kids in the first place. We can't even look after the children we have now why should we be bringing more into the world? A few couples can afford not to have kids.

  • @Zain844 "Get over yourself." What a typical mindless comment. Anyway, you are *completely* out of touch with reality. Read up on the population growth rate of all of Western Europe and Japan, and learn that in most advanced countries, there is a *serious* population deficit. Your post is typical childish nonsense that has nothing to do with reality.

  • @7beers

The world's population was 2.5 billion in 1950 (many of those people are still alive today) the current world population is 6.6 billion at this rate the world population will reach 9.1 billion by 2050 That's almost 4 times what it was 100 years ago.

  • @7beers

If you're going to debate someone refrain from personal attacks and show some intellectual integrity. Provide me with facts. The whole keystone to conveying point is to provide your opposition with the info don't expect them to look it up themselves because they won't bother. Just because a few countries have a population deficent doesn't negate the many that are overpopulated.

You've got alot to learn kid.

  • @Zain844

    1. It's not "a few countries" -- it's practically every single developed country in the world!

    2. There is no food shortage in any normal country, one where there is no anarchy or dictatorship. So the problem is not over-population but rather the political structure of such countries.

    3. Really, just google "population decline demographics recovery" and start reading. You are bizarrely out of touch with what is going on in most of the developed world. PEOPLE ARE NOT HAVING CHILDREN!!

  • Every single developed country in the world has population deficent? Are you out of your mind?

3 out of 4 of the richest countries in the world have populations that are way above the world average. The U.S population alone has been increasing at a rate of 2.5 million a year. It's population growth is the highest of all industrilized nations. Japan is the richest country in the world it's also one of the most crowded

  • @Zain844 Let's take one specific example. The population growth rate in Italy for the past 10 years or so has been 1.3 kids per couple. 2.1 is replacement level. At this rate, the population of Italy will continue to decline dramatically. What is your opinion on this?

  • @7beers

Italy has one of the highest standards of living in the world. The way I see it less people means less people fighting over resources. However if Italy's population gets too low to the point the country's infrastructure is effected perhaps they can give incentives to families to have more kids or accept more immigrants in the country. You are talking about one country here keep that in mind. I still believe if you are gonna have kids you should have them for the right reasons.

  • @Zain844 I am definitely *not* talking about one country. Italy was just an example. Spain, Japan, Greece, you name it, are all in the same situation. Add to that the problems of the Welfare State, as we've been seeing most alarmingly in Greece, and The West is in big trouble.

  • @7beers

you name it huh? how about the United States? Japan? China? India? Pakistan? Bangladesh? Monaco? Mexico? Singapore? Indonesia?

Are all these countries in the same situation as Italy? No they are not as it is IMPOSSIBLE for you to claim otherwise. So you're wrong.

and the West is in trouble but it's not because of underpopulation. The U.S has one of the fast growing populations in the world.

Even if you were right. Having a child is still a choice why don't you get that?

  • @Zain844 1. If you read my post closely, you'd see that I was referring to the countries of The West. You should know that Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, etc. are not The West.

    2. The underpopulation of the West definitely *is* a major part of the reason they're in trouble: not enough young people to work, to feed the government which has to pay out the social benefits of an aging population.

    3. Of course it's a choice. I never implied otherwise.

    ...continued...

  • @7beers ... continued ... You seem to doubt that the things I'm saying in these posts are true. They are. I've read literally dozens of articles by many journalists who describe in great detail the demographic ticking bomb of The West. Instead of mindlessly dismissing my posts because they don't fit your preconceived notions, I suggest you begin reading up on the situation yourself. ... continued ...

  • @7beers

If there is a "ticking time bomb of the west" it has very little if anything to do with underpopulation. I dismiss your posts because they are drivel from someone who cares more about being right then being rational. Some countries are overpopulated while others are not. The problem is you casually label "every developing country in the world" with having a low population deficit. when that is not the case.

You are a conspiracy theorist. Nothing more.

  • @7beers Do you believe everything you read? Just because it was quoted by a journalist it must be true? i dont know what newspaper you are reading but young people have the highest rates of unemployment of any age bracket and you're saying they aren't enough young people to support the older generation? it's not lack of people it's lack of JOBS because the older generation isn't retiring!

  • @7beers and by the way you did imply otherwise. because of your kneeejerk reaction that started this debate.

  • @7beers

in 1994 the earth's population was 5 billion. It took only 8 years for it reach 6 billion by 2050 the U.S population will be around 400 million. This is directly from the census bureau.

so your statement that "every developed country in the world has a population deficent is bull.

  • @7beers lastly, I suggest you take a deep look at yourself before you accuse others of being "out of touch" put on your bigboy pants. Learn some critical thinking skills and don't label someone just because they don't agree with you. I never said people should not have kids or that having kids is bad. All I said is that we have enough people on this planet. Some couples can afford not to have kids if they don't really want them. Educate yourself. Not everyone wants the same things you do.

  • I stand by what I said. One of the top the things couples fight about is children. I'm not being selfish I'm stating a fact. You don't like it go argue with reality. See if you win.

  • @Zain844

Children can be a huge strain on a marriage yes... but sometimes there a good thing for a marriage... it just all depends on the couple.... It takes team work to raise a family and if one or the other person is selfish then yes it will be a strain to have children.... But it's very clear some people DO NOT belong as parents but in nature making a child is a pretty fun and easy thing.... So unfortunately your gonna have allot of bad situations....

  • What a wonderful love story... may god bless you and continue to always watch over you while you are apart!! We are so excited, we hope to send my daughter to Joffrey Ballet. It will mean the world to us and then as we look up video's and learn about the history. It takes our breath away... the power of love and the power of dance!!

  • That would be the hardest thing ever to do--so very sad. Thank God for God....to help us through it all

  • Patrick Swayze was a REAL hero to have fought his pancreas cancer for as long as he did!..............."God Bless You Patrick!!.............."You will be forever loved and missed!!"

  • Patrick's wife is TRULY AWESOME & DYNAMIC for just BEING there for him!

  • much like christopher's reeves wife. i still feel emotional thinking about how fast chris wife died after him she took care of him but she died so soon after chris i wondered how sick she was during that neurturing period

  • They had such a beautiful life together. When I think about Lisa, now, without Patrick, I can hardly breathe. I will be praying for her and invite others to join me.

  • They truly did have a beautiful life together. I admired they're marriage so much, they're love, they're soul, they're spirit, just they're everything to and about one another. They were just one. It's something that someone can rarely find in one another. And I hope to have what they had someday. In fact, I believe in my heart they still have it, it's still there, cause this morning on Oprah, Lisa said its like he's never left, she still feel him there with her, by her side, and everything.

  • To ChicagoTyme: I heard her on Oprah. She also said that Patrick thought she was smart and beautiful.etc,etc. and now she's going to do her best to prove him right. They were a couple since thier early teens. I know that Lisa will carry on and make everyone, especially Patrick, proud of her.

  • God , I want patrick back !!

  • @TwilightJacksons17 God cannot give you Patrick back, god doesn't have the power to!

  • Anyone notice Barbara walters mistake at 0:09? She calls Lisa a man by referring to her as "his".

  • nope she didnt

Lisa went to dancing school at the dance studio Patricks mother owned

  • I met Patrick's mom at a dance studio in Houston years ago...I'll never forget what she said to me.

  • 34 years ? What a tribute to any marriage let alone the throw away mentality of Hollywood

RIP Patrick, you will be missed

  • This is an inspiration to me in regards to soul mates. Today there are so many skeptics about love and what it is. My heart goes out to his family. I was lucky to get to know his cousin's family. Good people, I hate to see another one go, but grateful he was here, none of us will be the same. Kudos to them both for giving to what will sustain- conservation. Much love, Kim.
