  • You should work in the Marketing department at Line 6. Nice job!

  • @71MARTIND28 That would be fun!

  • Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! MIra lo ke es esoo!!!! ME ENAMORE !! xDD

  • So what else do you need, to get all these sounds. Like what other electronics would I need to get it hooked up to the amp. Also what would you think would be a good price to pay for a used one. thanks for the vid.

  • @ceddy1968 All these sounds are right in the guitar. You don't need anything else. However, if You get the Line 6 XT Live pedal bard, you can program them to work together and change the tunings and patches on the guitar via foot switch. I suspect you can get them for well under $600 these days. The guitar and pedal board connect by Ethernet cable.

  • What kind of a pic are you using??? It sounds good!!

What kind of slide did you use? Glass or steel???

    It sounds pretty stinking good!!

  • @Celticsaint777 It was recorded direct, through a Lexicon Omega external 24bit audio interface. Glass slide, with a pencil under the strings at the 1st fret to raise them up. I use a heavy blue teardrop Dunlop pick.

    Thanks.

  • @Celticsaint777 See it used by Satriani's guitar player. /watch?v=AOsgv_X_cV8 at 2:08

  • This is the one James Hetfield from Metallica uses during Unforgiven

  • The sitar is basically what sold me on it... lol

  • does anyone know the tuning of the dreadnought channel?

  • whoever you are playing this demo are very very very good. I look to be as good as you someday

  • I don't know, I've never dueled a banjo. It had better not step up if it values its neck.

  • lol at the comment boxes. your playing is top stuff. got one of these two days ago and can't wait to unleash what's within. the reason i got this was to put it on a stand and do dead or alive with it then go to an electric for the solo :)

  • I can't believe you said the Sitar model has no purpose. Ever listen to the Beatles?!

  • Not enough I guess. Do they use one?

  • @MrDarinWarren Norwegian Wood, Love You To, Within You Without You, The Inner Light, Tomorrow Never Knows and Across the Universe to name a few. The Stones use it on Pain It Black.

  • @MrDarinWarren Intro to Wherever I May Roam by Metallica ;)

  • nice demo thanks

  • nice demo. thanks

  • nice playing by the way.

  • How much do these usealy cost

  • New $1100 I think. Used about $600

  • @MrDarinWarren

Woah it loses its value pretty quickly. The sitar on it sounds cool though.

  • why does everybody who buys one of these SELL THEM ????

  • I sold mine, I just didn't need it anymore. Left the band that I was using it in.

  • @hornstrum They sell them because they do not sound natural! Lack of natural "air" resonating. HOWEVER, I found a way to record with it by using the Amplitube 3 plugin. Seems to sound best thru Amplitube's Princeton reverb into a vintage marshall cab mic'd with a Royer 121.

  • I could find a Beatles song or two that would be great for the zitar sound...... Great playing and nice demo.....

  • Sounds nice. Does it have open tuning?

  • I sold it some time ago. But yes it did. I believe you could program any tuning you wanted too. And you could switch patches via the Line6 XT Live with an Ethernet cable.

  • Yes it does. It has about 4 preset open tunings plus as many user ones as you want

  • nice :)

  • The sitar sounds very usable.. Am I wrong here? =)

Great playing man! I'm looking for buying this baby. What do you think of it? Also, how is it compared to normal acoustic guitars?

  • No, it doesn't. But, as much as I liked that little axe, she was a lemon! In the middle of songs at gigs she would just QUIT. Trouble shot her any number of ways, then returned her today. She was my back-up and could have been a real sweet one if she worked properly. So it's back to searching for a bargain. See ya.

  • Sounds good! Just got an acoustic 300 Variax, and have run into some tech problems. Did you have any trouble with yours?

  • No trouble at all. Does it have the 'Ethernet" cable connection to work with the XT Live pedal board?

  • sitar is the best

  • dis is so cool.

  • Dueling Banjos, LOL... Squeal... ehm yes.

    Nice vid, thanks.

  • wait are you actually playing or is this using the controls on the keyboard

  • I'm playing it on the Variax just as you hear it.

  • Track 8 is veeery cool!! Do you have any tabs for it?

  • I've just get get this guitar, and i'm quite happy =). Could you give the name of the different song your playin in this demo ??

  • Just put some notes on the video with song information. Hope that helps.

    Darin

  • BTW: I put a pencil under the strings on the 1st fret for the slide on the Dobro model. I'm not a slide player, and don't have "the touch" required to play slide cleanly. Using the pencil raised the string enough so I could use moderate pressure with a glass slide.

Everything in life is a compromise. This guitar doesn't do 'everything' perfectly. But it does some things well enough to be in a giggin players arsenal.

  • I use this guitar for live...I lead worship with it. I find that it sounds great through a PA, but it lacks through an amp or straight in for recording. I love the jumbo and dread with drop on mine. Eq does an ton for it on the mixing board. A touch of reverb will make it sound more realistic.

  • Very nice but what is the 1st song ?

  • It is a worship song called "As the deer". Just a small part of it anyway.

    Thanks, Darin

  • plastic sound...great as a creative tool tho...great in a live situation too...
