  • That is some FINE guitar playing!

Bernie is so cool to make his Signature classic & affordable, (imagine what ultra-exotic & expensive 'master-werke' it could have been w/ all of Paul Smith's resources & backing behind him, instead, he simply created an "Everyman's Classic Rock & Blues Axe"....with 'uber-Tone'. (Thanks 'Big B'!!!).

But, (separate issue), your playing mate is absolutely superb.

I replayed this review multiple times, your skills are just excellent...(as is Bernie's Sig).

  • @YuJinLong Thanks bud!!! I just found a couple of backing tracks and improvised over them... I seem to play better when i'm under a little pressure and winging it compared to something i've spent hours learning! :) It's just a straight up rock & blues axe.. No added fluff... Just the right amount of bling with the binding and bird inlays... All killer, no filler as they say! :)

  • @MikeGarveyBlues

    "All Killer/No Filler"...

    Or is that 'All Thriller'?

    Either way, "Wonderful Tone".

You play from your Heart & Soul my friend,

    Get's Em' Every Time....;-)

  • Ordered mine on friday can´t wait :)

  • @Stratblooz Cool! Let me know what you think. I had the nut replaced on mine for a higher quality graphite one. Other than that, the guitar is amazing. Easily the best i've ever owned!

  • @MikeGarveyBlues Received it two hours ago and I love it !!!! My other guitar is a "real" PRS Dave Grissom and at one FIFTH of the price the Bernie Marsden easily comparers to its much more expensive american cousin . It will receive a fret polish next time i change strings something all my guitars cheap or expensive have needed but apart from that this guitar is a 10. Highly recommended !!!!

  • @Stratblooz Nice!!! It's an amazing guitar... Guitarist magazine in the UK are reviewing it next month. Will be interesting to see what score they give it. Should be a high one! :)

  • Hey Mike, according to Bernie the middle position on the p/u selector switch was going to be wired out of phase(the so-called Peter Green tone)but it doesn't sound like it to me.What do you reckon?

  • @kingstumble Hi Kingstumble, the middle position is wired as standard on the stock guitars. Not sure why PRS changed their mind about that as I would have thought it was easy enough to do. Bernie's prototype is wired for out of phase... Sure I heard it one one of the vids, and his headstock face is the same colour as the back whereas the off the shelf guitars have a black face. Other than that, great guitars!

  • Message to 'Tubechanneldoctordotcom'..... GO FECK YOURSELF!!! I don't appreciate you spamming me nor do the hundreds of other honest folk. I'll get my views the honest way thankyou very much! Bunch of scamming cnuts!

    Sorry for the rant folks!

  • Mike, that is sweet!!! I am with you on that neck pickup. Superb. The bridge pickup shines quite nicely at times but seems like it doesn't always play nice with that superb neck pup. Your equipment demos are second to none. One more question, I never asked what mastering software you chose. Please do tell! Thanks for the show! Regards//KP

  • @KP11520 Thanks KP! I'm on the hunt for a replacement bridge pup... well when I have money I will be! Love Duncans but I may go down the custom route as it has to be something that works well with the neck pup.

For mastering I use Izotope Ozone 4. Have to be honest and say I just use a preset and then tweak that to my liking. Still don't inderstand a lot of what i'm doing... Just twiddle some knobs until it sounds right! :)

  • Hey Mike Thats a beaut of a guitar, fantastic playing and editing bro, had to go to my brothers house to watch this, damn connection here lol.Top Job.

  • @MrGlassback Thanks GB! Was worth the effort but I'll have to learn to make shorter vids! :)

  • Awesome, Mike! A beautiful guitar with a great sound. The Laney of course is great as usual. Hope you stay happy with it. tminet

  • @Johndrakenosix Cheers bud!!! Guitar is definately a keeper! The amp sounded great on this too but it needs looked at... Getting a metallic ringing noise which might be the power tube. Nothing major thankfully!

  • like if @prsguitars on twitter sent you here!

  • Great Guitar!!!

What's the amp that you use in this vid? Thx

  • @dhp9951 Cheers dhp9951... The amp was a Laney Lionheart L5T-112. Just using it's clean channel throughout. Great amp!

  • Beautiful guitar, great tones, great guy! Nice review and playing. *lights lighter and shouts ENCORE!

  • @Revolutioncasino Cheers bud! Sounds great doesn't it?! :)

  • Nice one Mike! Looks and sounds the business. That's some demo boy! GB will never be able to download it, lol. Nige (as was "schnuffi" rip)

  • @hudsonrilke LOL!!! Was thinking about GB and his interweb... Going to post a condensed low res version direct to VB later tonight. Everytime I try to make a short vid they wind up getting longer!
