I've always liked and respected firemen/paramedics. I loved watching "Emergency" when I was young, then we alway saluted when the firetrucks came by.  I remember halloween that year in 2001. The kids didn't dress up like monsters-they dressed like firemen and policemen.

New York policemen and firefighters aren't invited to the 10th anniversary of 9/11 at ground zero. Mayor claims there isn't enough room for them. They weren't invited on that day in 2001 either. They just showed up and did their job!! 343 firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, and 37 Port Authority police officers, died that day. Please re-post if you think they belong there more than politicians

343 there was a group of 45 members of the 343 and they died on the 56th floor of the north tower when it collapsed appearently they died because the communications where messed up and they didnt recieve it so GOD BLESS THEM

It is utterly amazing to see all the love and support given to the NYFD. We all take the services that the police and fire departments provide, and sadly it is something like this to make us realize how much they do for us with a blind devotion unseen in any trade or job.
