I rescued my baby back in March. She was in a fight with a cat and missing scales. I took her to the vet and kept her! (:
If I fail to hold her at least every few days, she'll get pissy and start hissing. When this happens, she usually always strikes. But as soon as I'm holding her, she calms down.
A great nature lesson for this kid and his friends ! The kid knows how to differentiate among different species of snakes and proper handling technique. What a neat adventure ! Definetly healthier than a video game.
CLASSIC pissed off bullsnake. used to catch these in western North Dakota. was lucky and kept 2-3 as pets that were tame. all the rest were perpetually, well, pissed!!
Who cares if someone wants to pose with a nonvenomous snake? As opposed to most people who just kill them? Alot of times I'll be out exploring and find a rat snake or kingsnake and keep it for a day and take it back in the morning. Why? To take around to show friends who were(emphasis on were) afraid of snakes. Hopefully in the future when they see a snake they'll have second thoughts about hurting it.
yea we try to leave the ones on our farm alive to eat mice and rabbits... theyre a great form of pest control and they took care of any of the rattle snakes we had around. Rattlers havnt been in my area since the 70's. On the contrary if they come in our shop for water theyre dead meat, they will keep coming back once they find where the water is and i really dont wanna have a bull snake slithering out of whatever piece of equipment im workin on
yeah there pretty cool i live in southern saskatchewan and in the summer months ive seen up to 6 or 7 of them in one day they are harmless unless they feel your a threat if they do bite you the worst that could happen would be Salmonella poisoning but i belive that will only happen if they have it ive caught up to 7 and 1/2 ft long ive heard they only get to be 6 ft but im sure they could possibly get to be 8 also if you get them mad they imitate a rattle snake by a distinctive hiss
i think its a bluff

cateyes221981 3 years ago
You're the stupid bitch, I'd like to see you have enough balls to pick up a wild snake.
hellboy80004 3 years ago
its not all about having balls, more respect. this snake clearly wants to be left alone
dopeking2003 3 years ago
You're right my bad, I just figured he was being an ignorant asshole and just wanting to see her get bitten...
