Wow, I would not have believed the aircraft could do that. I have trouble getting mine up over 12,000 feet.

Yeah, it would climb at just under 100 fpm with gear down, maybe 200 fpm with gear up, 2 people and 1/2 tanks

We never would take off with more than half tanks, so maybe 30 gallons

A normally aspirated engine. Man you probably had little to no power. That altitude makes my head throb just thinking about it. Good video.
