Could someone please tell me the process of becoming an Ustad in Indian Classical music? This man, with all due respect, should not be calling himself Ustad. IF we call him Ustad, then we do we call Ustad Valayt Khan Sahib, or Ustad Shahid Pervez Sahib? This, to me, is a new trend whereas before you would not dare call yourself Ustad at this stage.
I have an old LP with Ustad Ghulam Khan and Ustad Munir Khan "JUGALBANDI DUET" with an "Ustad Usman Khan" playing the tanpura DECCA DL5100 behind Bhairavi, Bihag and Shankara. Is Usman Khan the pupil of Ustad Ghulam Khan?
Ket, thanks for uploading these videos, even though I was there in person for Swamiji's birthday celebrations, it is so blissful to listen to it again and see it, now it is 5am here and it is even more soothing.
I didn't see subscribe come next to it like the TFA videos...
i am often reminded at times like these how incredibly lucky we are to have such a one as swamiji whose deep love for art, music and dance has enriched our lives so much. the great masters he brings to where we are so that we can taste of the sweetness that come from their souls.
