  • No, Christianity co opted and repurposed pagan symbols, that does not invalidate Christmas.

  • Whether or not you believe in the stories behind holidays, Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Passover, Thanksgiving and a bunch of other holidays give families a reason to come together. That's the only contribution I see in them.

  • @scienceoverfiction no, they teach them to spend money, and spend that one day with their loved ones, when it should be everyday. Plus they mask it as a good jesus loving day but in fact its paganism at its best.

  • Only in America does our idiotic society care more about stupid traditions and ignore facts. This philosophy will be our doom given our ignorance of all things logical, i fear we are slowly turning into mental slaves programmed to think as we are told. Thank god for making me rational enough to know "he" doesnt exist.

  • @kinglbkiv USA is not the only country to have its citizens behave this way, im from Brazil, and its pretty much the same, people depend heavily on traditions, but its a bit more diversified.

  • If you look up in the bible in Jeremiah 10:4 is said they deck the tree with gold and silver the fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not. K.J.V

  • @nickynok1 Nope it says "deck IT with gold and silver..." And I believe this passage is about worshiping false idols, not some sort of christmas celebration...

  • I thought I was the only one who didn't do christmas and I'm 14

  • CHRISTMAS IS RELEVANT. ITS PAGAN ORIGIN DOES NOT MAKE IT UNACCEPTABLE. THE FESTIVAL IS A REMINDER TO BELIEVERS AND POTENTIAL JESUS , THE CHRIST FOLLOWERS , THAT "G-D , MADE HUMAN , IS REAL AND A BLESSING TO HUMANKIND. Tony

  • Whoever celebret chrismas is pagans, hell

  • Comment removed

  • Cris muss thats what it is to me.

  • Yes it started out as a pagan thing... but we overcame it and now millions celebrate it as Christs birth. It is a season of good will. I don't think Christ would mind as long as we have him in our hearts and minds. Merry Christmas.

  • overcame it? more like it just blended together into a weird mix. I get why the early catholics tried to take over the pagan holidays, but looking back I almost think it make more sense If Christians celebrated their "Christmas" around Jesus's actual birthday and let the current Christmas go back to being a fun secular holiday about trees, presents, gifts, getting drunk and so on.

  • @faanunu Its all to do with the winter solstice, nothing to do with 'christ'. He's just one of hundreds of story figures we see all round the world and if anything, he one of the less credible of all of them being so modern..

  • dudes, debate like people and not like our freaking moronic leaders who imitate true intellectual debate! You people rock! When WE debate, WE teach each other and learn truths and facts..... It is here where we truly become enlightened. I am so sick of the BUMBLEexcrements in our society who the lame "KING" as orators and teachers and intelligent--ala Obama--there I said it. Why do you think they have decided to listen and start their own creepy blogs to here the ELECTORATE?? talk it up!

  • THIS IS WHY I HATE CHRISTIANS THEY WANT TO MAKE EVERYTHING THERS AND THEN THEY WANT TO KILL OTHER RELIGIONS AND STEAL THEIR IDEAS

  • @HanDynasty26349 They have to steal other religious holidays because as I am sure you know christians can't actually think for themselves much less coming up with their own stories or holidays.

  • @HanDynasty26349

    i couldn't agree more

  • @HanDynasty26349 hate the message and the propagator of it, their leaders, but do not hate on simple followers, because they do not know what they do! For they are brainwashed, alienated.

  • type in "the spirit of truth will set you free" reallyyy good video about religion, paganism and satanism...we've been stuck in a world of alchemy ran by fools.

I cant tell you what to believe in...But think outside the box..who cares if ppl call u crazy..they just cant even come close to comprehending how big the universe is..ANYTHING is possible.

  • hail odin!!!

  • everybody loves christmas and i don't care if christmas was originated by pagan or christian!

  • our roots is came from pagan even the religion is coming from there too!

  • so wait, does that mean every christian has technically been worshiping a false god without knowing! haha they are all going to hell!!!!

  • To: All Muslims

"Come out of your idiocy! What Muhammad has to offer to humanity???

    1. Violence. 2. Subjugation 3. Spreading the religion with sword (he himself was an idiot warrior) 4. communalism & narrow-mindedness. 5. Hopeless words of the so called 'celestial Book'.

    6. enslavement to Quranic religion i.e. Islam ( Muslims are killed by sword if they forsake Islam. So where is freedom???)

    7. Belief in Hurs. Which means 72 virgins for unendig fucking infront ofGod in heaven.!! (unscientific)

  • The biggest problem I have with claims in videos like these is when they try to argue that Jesus could not have been born in December because the shepherds were out at night watching over the sheep. Problem is, most who argue this have never been in Israel (as I have) during late December through January. All during that time, I only needed a light wind-breaker jacket AT NIGHT. It did not get so cold that sheep or shepherds could not stand it.

  • @CRoadwarrior Also, the Greek of the passage in Luke does indicate that the shepherds were not herding the sheep for grazing, but were guarding them from being stolen at night. Even back then, thieves liked to steal at night. And so you are not going to convince me that Jesus could not have been born in December based on that flawed and erroneous reasoning.

  • @CRoadwarrior lol forget the christmas story its just that, a story.

  • I don't celebrate a lie. I quietly stay away from it. If ppl ask why I don't, I tell them. I don't tell them they can't celebrate. But unfortunately what they choose to celebrate is gross-particularly that it goes back to all the horrid events prior to Christ even.

  • sherpard's in the field watching over it was not cold out and also we benifit from his death he had to die for the world to have a chance

  • i think jesus' birth should be celebrated throughout the whole winter days of the year instead of considering it a dec 25 christmas day.. -.- souldn't it be? 'cuz according to the bible it was during the winter days, so yeah..

  • @rengates P.S. ..... this way the celebration will be dedicated ONLY for Christ's birth...and so this will not consider the celebration for the other gods -.-

  • @rengates Actually scholars who know ancient middle east and the bible claim they time that the bible describes is fall NOT winter. Look it up..

  • ok.. so does this mean that as religious people or 'God's followers', we shouldn't celebrate christmas?

  • Christmas is no where in the Bible. Basically everyone is celebraing a man-made tradition. Amo 5:21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

  • @thamarjudah Omg ALL traditions are man-mad so wtf r u crying about?

  • @JaeTracie but bringing other tradition that are dedicated to other gods is not honoring Jesus i can understand if we give a day to recognize the birth of Christ even the date dec the 25 was dedicated to that god so i disagree with what your saying cause it contradict with what he word of God says Jeremiah 10 even speak of this traditions i encourage u to read more

  • "in the norse country, this winter celebration was known as yule"

Guess what, it still is. We didn't adopt a christian name for it.

  • a bunch of jews got together to make this video....boooriinngg

  • @icanfeelthebeat your a reaterd

  • @Robmobber whats a reaterd? lolololololol

  • Isn't it great to still have freedom of choice, freedom of conscience, and to allow others to have the freedom to follow their chosen 'religion' or 'no religion' without name-calling, bigotry, cursing and intolerance? Whatever Christmas December 25 signifies to people today, may the darkness and the coldness of many hearts be warmed by the power of love and bring peace to warring hearts.

  • You religious people should really read your frigging bible. even the bible says that messiah (jesus) is born in the summer. no child would live out the judean winter

  • The two traditions were combined together to apease both religions!!!! True Christians should know that Christ was born in the summer months so very long ago. Being Pagan myself , I do not slam others beliefs, I respect everyone's choice to pray to whom gives them comfort. Maybe someday ALL OF US will try this, and a whole lot let bullshit and fighting about who is right and who is wrong! Respect is a great and wonderful thing, no burning in lakes of friggin' fire. After all it's Christmas.

  • christmas is when jesus was born? pagans did make the tree thing but thats not what christmas is about

  • I don't care pagan whatever! Christmas is make me happy to celebrate! Not for people who focus religious and follow old rule to make sickest for human!

  • @samewish Good you can be happy all the way to the lake of fire! God cares whether it is pagan or not! You obviously know nothing of scripture!

  • @samewish

when you celebrate Christmas your not honoring Jesus. Jesus was not born dec 25. A Pagan nimrod his birthday

check out the truth about Christmas(google

  • @SuperThetruthseeker, well written. There's not a more pagan 'celebration' than Christmas. Satan is very, very deceitful and Christians must do their research rather than taking for granted what their ministers or priests say!

  • @SuperThetruthseeker You can CHOOSE to honor Jesus in anything you do. The Bible says to acknowledge God in all our ways. If I make CHRISTmas about CHRIST, I am honoring him - regardless of what the world says. It's not about when we celebrate, or the origins of the holiday, it's HOW we go about celebrating today that is a choice. Christians, please view the video about CHRISTmas on my channel. Many blessings to all! *jae*

  • What a load of crap this is. The Roman Catholic RULERS couldn't get pagans to stop their drunken festivals & tried to entice them to their false version of Christianity, by adopting the date, giving the pagans a celebration that they were so intent to have anyway. This implies that Christians IN Rome, just started celebrating solstice with a new name attached to it. The Roman catholic church needs to get its stained hands off of the Messiah! & History channel needs to stop twisting HISTORY.

  • @loveualatte ...lol....*The Messiah!*...........now there's some factual history for us!

..".false version of Christianity"? ha....like a real version actually exists.

  • @HisTruthbeUNKOWN if it was in front of your face, you would deny it anyway, so why bother? I don't "debate" haters of God, I only try to help people who CAN see, understand what has been twisted to keep them from seeing. That being said, your remarks go uncared about.

  • @HisTruthbeUNKOWN You are right there is no real version of Christianity!!!

  • i left the christianity for pagan and wiccan path. for not all of it felt right. it felt like there was still something missing. and the pagan wiccan path has filled that peace. Jesus is still my God but Gaia and Isis are my Goddess and i believe that buddha and the Dalai Lama are wise men we can all Learn from Blessed Be Peace Love and Light everyone

  • Christmas didn't start in pagan rome, it was celebrated all over europe, rome didn't start it.

  • @Imhornydadcomeinside And I don't believe in Jesus. Im a pagan. However I go to church with my friends. They respect my religion and I respect there's. We have an understanding. But I do believe if Jesus excist. IF HE EXIST mind you. He had to be born in either spring or summer. MMM maybe fall depending on the weather. However if he's in a barn and a fire was going he would be warm and Mary of course is gonna wrap him in something. Like I said we ma never know when he was born. There isnt a date

  • I don't think anyone will really know if Jesus was born in december or not. However yule is a pagan holiday. And christmas is a christian holiday. So it's celebrated in december big deal. Anyhow anymore or nowadays it's all a big commercial gig. Like the day after thanksgiving everybody has to shop. It's all an economic thing anymore. I don't celebrate holidays anymore because it's all a bunch of rubbish. Your born you live you die. Thats life.

  • @tweethang1 Well here are hints that jesus was born during summer, in our parts of the world. Down there it was winter, in africa.

  • @Imhornydadcomeinside Jesus wasn't born in africa. He was born in bethlehem. And it's a cold mountain town in Isreal. I know because I have been there. And it's in the northern hemispher. So in december it's cold. And when it's cold the animals are kept in the barn. And they let them out in the day time. So the sheep's and animals can get some air. And when night comes the air is cold and the animals are back insie. I was in bethlehem in december. And it's cold.

  • @tweethang1 Sure that's all life is when you reject all there is to celebrate in between. All the holidays show us how amazing that time between birth and death is. Christmas is peace, charity, and celebration of all we have during the darkest coldest time of the year. Cupid reminds us to honor all those who have given us the gift of their love. Halloween gives us time to remember those who have passed, and at the same time lets us be whatever we choose for one magical night. Easter is rebirth

  • why would sheapherds onlybe with their flock in spring their flocks don't disappear in the winter c'mon

  • Now I understand why some don't celebrate it. I respect their decision.

  • Jeremiah 10:3, "10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. "

  • In Sweden, it's called "Jul", and celebrated 24 december.

  • because christians adopted many aspects of polytheism, I respect Christianity more then judiasm, and Islam.

  • adopted? more like stole

  • Hail our old religion! Hail united Europe! Pagan Europe! SLAVA RODU POMEN PRECIMA !

  • @SuicietyBoozer hail. greetings from a Lusitan descendente

hail Runesocesio, hail Ategina, hail Endovelico.

  • @SuicietyBoozer

the tannenbaum is germanic... not slavic. Fuck Off.

  • @chica476 Eat shit nigger.

  • @SuicietyBoozer

I'll eat poop, but I'm not black. :)

  • @chica476 trololo :D

  • @SuicietyBoozer

    UMAD BRO?!

  • @SuicietyBoozer

Is there even a Sacred book that was revieled to you all about this religion? how can you believe any of this without any evidence?? there are so many flawed things about this lol. i love the faith you guys have but please aim it towards something that makes sense.

  • @imransurf3 I am an atheist, calm down dude...

  • @imransurf3

A book based upon oral traditions copied and recopied by hand for thousands of years, by scribes who were more often than not anonymous, constitutes proof how exactly? Even if somehow every single word in the modern Bible is a 100% accurate translation and representation of the original text, which is seriously doubtful, that's still no proof the original text was a faithful retelling of events.

I'm not trying to be mean, but this is nuts.

  • Can someone give me the name of the person who declared The Bible to be the word and God and who gave that person the authority to declare the bible to be the word of God.

  • hail odin

  • Kids only like christmas because they get presents. Businesses only like christmas because of the sales. Its all a lie!

  • it was joker thing (pagan/occlut)

  • John 10: 14-16

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

=> 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

  • There is a serious attempt to debunk what is being presented here. Revisionists want to downplay any pre xian recognition of the solstice as to discredit modern paganism. Why can't we respect ALL of it as the evolution of myth and spirituality? Oh yea, that would mean recognizing the xian xmas as MYTH. We don't dare get real!

  • Why does everyone have to hate on the other side of whatever they may be? Beleive it or not byt you can actually be pagan AND christian!

I myself am a christian druid and I have heard of christian wiccans. egardless of what you are or what you celebrate why divide yourself just because someone else used "YOUR" holiday to do what they thought was right and try to save people? It was better than the other time in their history called the inquisition, no?

  • why lie? everything in the universe is energy. God is simply positive energy or love! evil, Satan, killing another human, hate etc = negative energy, wat elite believe. Jesus, even if just a story, lived love -put forth positive energy - which is why he was God in the flesh! The story should b remembered 4 all of us 2 put forth positive energy the way Jesus taught us. Constantine & the roman empire -the elite -all infiltrated / created religions, the bible & Quran. PAGAN.

  • @MopDMTBARTL

this is true thank you! I don't really get why people always try to condemn that which is different from them. Just because they think they don't understand it. Acually all religions are really the same technically. But yes if you don't beleive then take the story of jesus as someone to learn from. Don't look when you hear the name and scoff at the person. We aren't all catholic preists who hate everyone else just because of what we choose to beleive and you don't

  • It's great to see druids so open to merging paths. We wiccans are sooo closed minded when it comes to incorporating Christ's philosophy in our craft. So sad.

  • @maulhoik

yeah it is a shame, the pagan religions can actually be incorporated with christianity. Sure not the strict catholic your going o hell christianity but the accept jesus into your heart and love others christianity. Thats what i follow. Its a closely guarded secret that pagan and christian go together but if you look at all religions without thinking maybe this s true, then you can see that they are really all the same story. Then just pick one that you like best

  • Another interesting detail, not mentioned under my previous comment, was that the Cristmas tradition of the Tree was brought to England (and subsequently to America & the rest of the empire) by virtue of Prince Albert (consort of Queen Victoria) who easily persuaded his wife, the queen to emulate the German Christmas traditions.

  • I loved it!! LOL

Thanks to this video, as an unwavering Secular Humanist, I shall no longer be troubled during the period of Christmas celebration, by simply regarding a celebration of Mithra in the Roman Style, along with Saturnalia. It's is fascinating how the hypocrtical domagtic caholic clerics manupulated so many pagan traditions, whic included the Nordic God ODIN (LOL) I just love it! The more I read about the catholic manipulation of pagan faith, the more disgusted I become about them.

  • 2-"evergreen's". its not the whole tree!! just some branches turned into wreathes or just plain pine boughs hung over doorways and on walls. and dont forget the Mistletoe! another pre-Christian invention! :)

  • not many know that "Santa Clause"=(Sinter Klause in Deutsche), was Saint Niklas! a Greek Orthodox holy man . a wealthy Greek! who bought slaves and freed them!! now thats a real Christian!

  • if you move the words around some more its Satan Clause. looks like everyone is worshipping a devil in a red suit that has a fetish for little kids and gluttony

  • kitches1991.....that fat commercialized monstrosity is a pure product of marketing! id prefer the original good christian idea! thats what Saint Niklas was. just a decently wealthy dude tryin to do good! and from any image i saw of him he was faily thin! and he walked the land alot, so he was no weakling fat boy! :)

  • @kitches1991 I couldn't agree more with what you said here. People are really worshiping the devil and they have no idea that they are. Do you believe in Jesus though?

  • @Lawgiver777 yeah of course i do. but i dont believe in the milky skinned, blue eyed, long haired, handsome one that everyone else believes in, nor do i worship the image everyone seems to adore so much either. its all a bunch of bull

  • @kitches1991 Do you go to church on sunday or do you worship on Sabbath(saturday)

  • @Lawgiver777 you know what, i just learned about Saturday being the true sabbath day just recently, but i still need to do more research to see if its really true. i really dont have a church home though. most of these churches nowadays operate like cults. i just stay home and read my bible from time to time and pray ever so often

  • @Lawgiver777 The devil is make believe. To think that there is a power out there that could "overcome" God is simply ridicules. There is only God....nothing else.

  • So you believe in God, but you don't believe that satan is real? Do you read the bible? Like, I am not trying to be sarcasitc either.
