I know with the S2 you could watch the animation from the messages and settings menu, I can't find where to play the animation from the premiere. Do they even have it for the premiere or do you have to reboot to watch it?
I like this video. Each segment appears to span 10-year periods at the half-decade point:: Late 40s-early 50s; late 50s-early 60s; late 60s-early 70s; late 70s-early 80s; and late 80-early 90s.
I have always loved the start up animation for Tivo's. I agree with Revans310, this one is horrible. Jumps around too much, very cheesy, and corny, and not imaginative. But then again, Tivo lost innovation about 5 years ago. The new Premier with Flash is not innovative.
@jefftalbert I bought mine off Ebay last week solely for one letter: P. My "old" Tivo HD would not do 1080 P, only 1080i. I am glad I did not waste $200 on a new one. I spent $78, but it is much much faster and better quality.
