i dont understand how people mix these up. re 0 came up only for gamecube and most recently wii, the gbc re 1 never came out , and re 1.5 did come out a demo but never did the full game

resident evil 2 demo wasn't canceled nor was it named "RE 2 Demo 1.5". that RE2 demo was very early while changes were still being made with the game. Also, RE Zero came out on gamecube...

It wasn't cancelled due to no storyline. There was no storyline implemented because it was a demo. The game was 75% complete before they canned it for some unknown reason. Apparently, though, it wasn't good enough to be Resident Evil, and there were no tie-ins to the first game. That's why Elza was replaced with Claire.

As soon as Leon got to the midget teaming up with ALIEN in Resident Evil 4 my hope for the series easily died. I cannot wait for them to make an Outbreak 3 or a classic resident evil game again. I miss the old controls. What pissed me off with 5 is that fucking awful versus mode. Stationary combat with guns is a travesty. The QA department must have been high at the time.

Technically all these came out. 1.5 became 2, 0 came out for the GC instead, and the gbc is just a portable version of part one. Actually, I'm glad they came out with the versions they did, it was so worth the wait.

Wrong. The NES version is a chinese pirate game. It's available on the net to download although its quite unstable when playing.

@gunboy77 You have Resident Evil 0 for the Gamecube. The one on GBC that he has is Resident Evil Gaiden, not Resident Evil. Resident Evil for GBC was cancelled, due to the fact that the team that was making it was technologically retarded. The RE2 demo (RE1.5) was released here in America, but the game itself was cancelled, never making it past the demo phase. According to Capcom, the game was 75% complete before it was canned for some unexplainable reason.
