  • This is called Oppression and pure harrassment. They are acting like Iran or China....really you are not Free in the United States. you are a State Police. Do not call yourself a Democratic country.....

  • your a dumb fuck in fact in a time like now they could have done w.e they wanted thats sketchy activity they have the right to question you, the cop was being very polite i ust ad and they dont run your plates just to see what your name is they run them to see if you have a criminal record to PROTECT people so stop giving them a hard time for your gay fucking pictures you fucking twat.

  • @keepinmyhustle

they do have the right to ask people questions on a public sidewalk. it's called free speech protected by the 1st Amendment. although we have the right to tell them to fuck off and not answer of their questions. public photography is not a criminal act or grounds for detainment

you seemed to know everything, but the port guards do try to get your plate number so they can give it to the FBI. it's fact. two of us have already been visited.

i called them on it and they knew it.

  • @discarted i dont know everything i still have a lot to learn but they are just trying to protect people like yea they are going to give it to the fbi just incase somthing happens to that refinery than they know who to question, like get over it i know its sad people arent even allowed to shoot fireworks off for 4th of july like yea its pathetic that we are living in such fear but you need to understand where they are coming from.

  • @keepinmyhustle

then offer up your info so we can know you're not a threat since sheeples are the worst possible threats to everyone else who can think clearly and independently

  • @keepinmyhustle this jerkoff is a conspiracy theorist. everyone is out to get his "rights", you know rights to photograph questionable places in a time of heightened security, but he doesn't give a shit. You know taking pictures of refineries is his passion, he wouldn't be there just to test the people paid to protect out national interests or anything.

  • I've been watching your vids, and I applaud your work. It's a real danger when police either don't know the law, or purposely abuse it. It's equally dangerous when the citizen populace allow such practices. Sheep indeed. BRAVO.

  • Agreed That Was Stupid I Mean They Were Very Nice And You Had To Go Be A Ass All The Were Doing Was There Job How In The Hell Do They Know If Your Not Planning

    Some Threat

  • @tx613 how is photographing a threat

  • @ironmanACDC13 Let Me Tell You Dumb Ass They Could Have Been Taking Pic And Planing Attack That Simple You Know Its Not Like The Took There Damn Blood

  • @tx613 this guy is always an ass. look at his other videos. always out looking for trouble. whining about being treated unfairly by injecting into their privacy or looking super suspicious

  • excellent vid. keep up the good work but be careful brothers and sisters of the Constitution!

  • Um why were you photographing refineries anyway? lets say someone else did that and the next week they blew up the place pple would then say why the hell didn't the cops respond to such wierd behavour at a place like that. I am happy the cops came, your an idiot, lame video and does not show that itsa police state.

  • @StuntmanSam07

    likewise sheeple

    and it's "you're"

  • @StuntmanSam07 So sad when taking pictures is WEIRD behavior now...you must watch Fox "News"

  • @StuntmanSam07 So sad when taking pictures is WEIRD behavior now...you must watch Fox "News"

  • @StuntmanSam07 So sad when taking pictures is WEIRD behavior now...you must watch Fox "News"

  • Great example showing the difference between the two. Much help!

  • I was hoping to see something worth my wild.....Can I get my time back?

  • @MINIPIN1978

maybe if you managed it better

  • Discarted, you are an idiot.....and you make gay video's

  • @MINIPIN1978

but you can't stop from watching them...hmm?

must be the gay in you

  • well you can be. im not saying they well. probably because they dont want to do the paper work. dont ack like you know the laws when you dont.

  • @sunsetreptiles

    sure thing, man.

  • @sunsetreptiles

meanwhile, check out these videos. you can discuss them in your class

checkpointUSA - 9th Circuit Rules In Favor of Checkpoint USA

iamtroublemaker1 - ICE Agents (Police) Harass Photographer

TheAlexJonesChannel - 'Papers please' for reporter at Texas capitol shooting investigation

  • in ca it is. so i dont know where your getting your info at. I have a class on this right now.

  • @sunsetreptiles

likewise. would really love to know where your information is coming from

  • @sunsetreptiles

you know what, ill upload a video from the same day and location that involved the long beach police. they showed up later. we weren't legally detained by them; it was not a terry stop. but the cops continually asked for our IDs and we refused to hand them over. every time. its funny though, we weren't arrested for not providing ID, even though you keep saying that a person will be arrested for exactly what we did

  • i do know the laws, and you do have to give the cop your id if he ask. you can go to jail if you dont.

  • @sunsetreptiles

not in CA. it's not a stop and ID state. if you're actually detained though by a sworn peace officer (which, we weren't because security guards can't legally detain people on public streets or legally demand someone's ID) then you are required to ID yourself, but not with an actual ID. you just have to provide CA sworn peace officers with your real name; it's a crime to give a fake name.

the law does not require you to carry ID in California

  • dude i dont think you know the laws. if a cop ask you for your id and you dont give it to the cop he can take you to jail for that.

  • @sunsetreptiles

    1. these aren't cops (sworn peace officers); they're guards (in very official uniforms to give the illusion to the trained public that they're real cops), working for the oil refineries

    2. CA does not have a stop and ID law.

it's very easy to find out your state laws these days. so why not give it a try?

  • you are creating drama i agree with the gaurds what purpose do you need photos of that towns refinaries if you want to film them you should have courtesy to call. you are suspicous but not a threat and wasting security valuable time. I use to be a guard for the refineries and port and yes the fed did bust a man doing the same thing your doing except he was outline were the oil drums were, the weak sections of our bridge and yes he had a forge id badge to enter our refinery

  • maybe checkpoints should be resurrected at the bridge and the surrounding area. anyone who comes near the refineries must be stopped and ID'd in order to move freely. cars are used in terrorist attacks all the time. it's suspicious

would like see factual evidence supporting your claims though

want to point out that these are security guards, not sworn police officers. their job is to observe and report. not surround law abiding photographers with 5 security guard cruisers and wast our time

  • constitution goes over company policy mate

  • This kind of crap pisses me off! lol. thank you for having the intelligence to stand up for your rights!

  • Christ dude you cause a lot of drama.

  • hang on so you went down there to photo the refineries because people were being harrased..... so basically trying to make a real pain of your selves just because you can.

If it is against the law to photo sensitive areas or potential terrorist targets it not a poilce state you can still photo elsewhere.. just like me going to a miltary base and photoing the tanks then moaning about police state..

  • You are so stupid that is not the point of the law Discarted. After 9/11 law inforcement is required to check up on ANY suspicious activity. Terrorist come in all shapes, sizes and colors. I know becuase i live in NYC. Any subway rider that sees any box on the floor is to report it to police, you never know if it could be a bomb. Taking pictures of historical buildings is cause for concern like the United Nations building empire state, etc So are your rights violated? no

  • point of what law? shapes? sizes? colors? what's suspicious?

you know because you live in NYC? that's laughable

you're more likely to be killed by a family member, an acquaintance, a US citizen, or a cop for that matter, than you are an evil, spooky terrorist

the terrorism card is a joke for most people who can think clearly and formulate their own opinions as oppose to someone like yourself, subscribing to and regurgitating all of the BS were told

  • LBHP Are NOT police. They are armed security for the port of LB.

  • well being paranoid is a bi-product of living in a police state. my comments are in general and are not based so much on this actual video but on personal experience with encounters with l.e. while i shoot my photography. l.e. officers have no right too approach a person based on race, sex or because they are taking photographs with a nice camera.

  • further more its obvious they was nice because they knew they were being filmed. generally they are mean nasty and demanding especially if your alone photographing they gang up on you.

  • You really are paranoid.

  • i think this is great! these people who do not think this is police harrassment would feel differently if they was approached by police for say walking through a public park. its the same thing i'm sick of cops coming up too me saying "who do you work for?" who or what are you photographing?" and so on, its harrassment, its embarrassing and its prying into my personal affairs. its none of their concern what i'm photographing or why. photography is not a crime!!!

    keep up the great work!

  • did you see the same video I saw? They were dispatched to this. They had to investigate right? Did anyone go to jail? No, nobody went to jail cause they investigated and found no crime. How was anyone harassed in this video daveknowshow?

  • LOL

  • You guys are doing the harrassing of law enforcement, and don't know what they go through on a daily basis. They put their lives on the line for F'N idiots like you! You need to be correct in your statements too! They didn't run your plate or ask for ID! When you call them they are there. Maybe you should find a hobby and YOU STOP HARRASSING LAW ENFORCEMENT! You're bored and have nothing better to do with your time. The world has enough problems without people like you creating more!

  • these guards aren't law enforcement...their armed security guards...they have no police powers

  • and how the hell would you know? They do have powers! But I bet your ass, they'll be the first to respond if any crap hits the fan, and you'll be the one calling!

  • beeecaaauzzze they're harbor patrol security guards...not sworn police officers for long beach.

can you list those powers? i would like to know for future reference.

    doubt it...they're security guards

  • I agree that you guys had the right to take pictures, but how does this video show any wrongdoing?

  • The point of the video was to show that some law enforcement officers now expect us to notify them whenever we leave our houses to perform a perfectly legal activity.

For the officer to even say something like this is frightening.

It may be a courtesy to her, but that "courtesy" prohibits me from moving freely in a supposedly free country

They wasted their own time. They should never have came. Plus, the guard lied and said it was a physical altercation.

  • The female Cop did not tell you to do anything and she did not order or demand anything. The video clearly shows this. She says it would be a common courtesy. She says it would be helpful so that Harbor Patrol avoids wasting their time to responding to a ridiculous waste of time call like this. They could be doing better things with their time.

  • You were not harassed in any way, and you assume that they ran your vehicle plates. How would they run your plates if they did not even know where your cars were parked and what type of cars they were. Many cars park in a city. This video just makes you look like an attention whore trying to cause some type of controversy. Like I said, are you that bored? Take pictures of something important in the world. Stop your bitching.

  • They do run your plates if they know where you're parked, which is what they were trying to determine. So far they've used this tactic on two people, which the FBI visited at their homes. I knew what he was doing so I called him on it. They didn't asked us for our IDs because they couldn't so they tried the license plate routine.

    Yes, I'm very bored.

  • Are you guys that bored? How does this video show a Police State? Harbor Patrol seems to have done everything by the book. They were dispatched to a altercation call as you indicated. They investigated and determined it was not an altercation, and never asked you for your identifications.

  • How?

Because the "cop" told us that we should've have notified them to let them know we were coming, even though what were doing is perfectly legal.

Do you think you should notify law enforcement whenever you're doing a perfectly legal activity?

  • that one officer is sexy :)

  • yea no one here was LAPD a said in the video, it is helpful to know which agencies are present...here in the washington DC area there are hndreds of agenies and both cruisers and officers from all those agencies out at all times, i like to try to keep track of who's who, this film is a great example of my life here in northern virginia around DC and the encounter i have, although i recently have privated my films regarding police and police stopping me...

  • glad i don't live in the united states POLICE STATE
