That so fits in with Kim's attitude. They never showed proof it was Kim who wrote that letter. Honest truth is Kat was jealous of Kimberly because of her feelings for Tommy. If she didn't the spell would not of worked so well on her.

The real reason Kat took Kim's power coin is Amy Jo the actress who played Kimberly wanted 2 be written of the show so it was just a way to write Kim out of the MMPR...But yes she could have gotten Aisha's 2...

To put it simply, SHE was KICKED OFF. Why? We all know why, because a lot of people hate her. And a lot of people can not accept her as Kim's successor.

"Better to steal a crumb and live than die stealing the feast", better to snag one coin and get out of there than to try for more and maybe get caught. Unfortunately it just happened to be Kims'.

Stealing Tommy wasn't part of Rita's plan that was somewhat evident in how Kat hid the picture from Lord Zedd and Rita
Funny then, seeing how Kat showed no interest whatsoever in Tommy after she became the Pink Ranger. It wasn't until the end of "Snow Business" and even then Tommy was the one who asker her to dance after Heather left. I don't buy the "Kat always wanted to steal Tommy" thing since that just doesn't seem in her character.

Infact in "There's no business like snow business" Tanya says it was really nice that Kat made dinner and she made a face and said "It could be the dumbest thing I ever did". It was obvious she was afraid she missed her chance by doing that. I agree she would respect Tommy and Kimberly relationship but I think from the start on she had a thing for him.
I was watching PR from when she first joined up to "Snow Business". She doesn't seem attracted to Tommy at all after she became the Pink Ranger, until Kim broke up with him. I still say that she really did just want him to feel better and the attraction to him grew from that.
im a huge tommy kim fan but i have to say that i dont think kat tried to steal tommy. im not sure how long they dated but they had a cute lil minor relationship ;) lol but tommy and kim had smtn...u could tell from the turbo movie...after all those years...still there
Same reason a waiter/chief at a restaurant looks presentable to the customers. Also because the plot at the end had them dancing and the writers figured she may as well look good too. There wasn't any hint of her having an interest in Tommy before "Snow Business" after she became the 2nd Pink Ranger after the spell was broken.
She looked presentable before that, but since when do waiter wear dresses to serve people. Also you say there was never any indication that Kat liked Tommy trying watching For Cryin' Out Loud. Heck, look at Rita's Pita, the very first episode Kat was in without Kim.
I did, and in neither of those she really came off as that attracted to him. Heck it was played for laughs in "Cryin" with her more into the kid (for the report and her own maternal feelings) than Tommy, and Rita's Pita it's still a "friend in trouble" deal.
Oh please! Kat was more concerned for Tommy as a "friend" than the rest of the rangers who knew him better and had known him longer? Doubt it, it's called reading between the lines. There was something more behind her attitude. And yea I totally go around touching my friends knee like Kat did. Creepy much? Especially since at that point he does still have a girlfriend.
Apparently, yes. Guess that means the others weren't written as being as concerned as they should have been. Touching his knee ain't that bad as touching them on the shoulder and people who aren't romantically involved do that all the time.
