It's not all about bpm, I love the melodic elements he put into this song. He reminds me of Alphonse Mouzon...a lot (and some of the other players with Miles' 60's and 70's bands). His rolls may not be razor-precise like some of the old-school giants, but that makes it sound more expressive to me- I'm not a drummer. I always thought that a musician tries to play to all of the audience.
