nice personally id have turbo charged a 1.6 lump as i feel they are more responsive than the 1.9 or id have got the lump out of an automatic (low compression) and supercharged :-D but well done with what you have done
you don't understand.... OE performance is about 100hp.... I'm over 100% doubled the power... almost 200% at the moment, and that for only a couple a grand, like 2000 euro..... bahahahaha and that's including the engine.....bahahaha.
hey man top class work and the video too! i have just recently got a xuj103z engine and i wanna turbo it over th winter can u help me out.... where can i get a turbo manifold or is there a kit out there i can buy specific to the engine...?? any help would be greatley appreciated as u seem to be a good builder!
yeah, sure. BUT, not quit at the moment. After a few setup changes in the Vems Unit, the engine was realy going to have a real life and at that moment, you know excactly why you did it ;) Now i've got this virus, they call it the "turbo virus" and will never heal again ;)
the rods are fine but you should've use ARP rod bolts. Stock bolts are only rated for about 20,000 and ARP are rated for 100,000. Most common problem that happens with turbo charged motors are the rod bolts snapping. So nice time bomb and good luck with that one man!
20,000 what. 100,000 what??? The rods are standard. Keeping it fine. Proven up to 450+BHP and 550Nm of torque. So can't see the problem there. The headbolds instead are now ARP's. A Floating head was lately the problem, and that's now hopefuly solved.
But tnx for you reply, always nice to have some reactions.

They are 3 pieces 15" PLS Indy rims, special made for the Dimma. Lookalike 1.6 gti wheels. Correct.

Wow, nice car, well restored. I have never seen those dimma rims before, they look like deep dish 1.6 wheels?
That exhaust manifold is sexual.
