@camelsandfriends She's going to be 4 April 5th (2012). Still very much a baby- but getting more mature each day. In some ways, I have no other choice but to be impressed with her ingenuity here. When you think about it- she's actually 'thinking' this thru- the putting her leg up on the higher bar... she can't physically do it on her own, without lifting it up with her head.
@camelsandfriends This start last spring when she was goofing off in her water trough. She had her foot on the edge of the trough & was looking under it. Something caught her attention and she looked up and put herself into a real headlock. She started wailing for help (cont')
I look up & she's only got THREE legs! At first, I freaked out, then when I realized her leg was hung around her neck, I started laughing so hard I nearly wet my pants. She was embarrassed to no end, but when she got that reaction from me, well, from that point it was Game On! She does it because she got a positive reaction from me... lol. Now I can't get her to stop!
@camelsandfriends LOL I didn't realize it was YOU Alex! :) How's Baby and Nessie doing? I got so fed up with trying to find a decent trainer... next time we talk I'll tell you what happened with Jesse Kearns! (I'm still pretty pissed off with him!) I finally took matters into my own hands and began just working with her. So far I'm still alive. I got to get her out of the pen though and start taking her out on trail rides with my horse soon. Am still building up confidence just walking her.
@MasterKeyKeeper lol Yeah, it's me. Baby is actually having health issues right now, he's being seen by a vet, but the cause of his problem is still unknown. Thankfully, whatever it is, Nessie seems unaffected and is getting so big. That's great that you're building your confidence, I'd still love to come over and meet you both sometime or you're welcome to come down here.
@camelsandfriends Oh wow- I'm so sorry to hear about Baby! I sure hope he's okay! (Did you check the copper levels?) I don't know jack about camel health - god help me if Sahara ever got sick! You're also welcome to come up here anytime for a visit as well. Right now- there's no escaping this place for me anytime soon. LOL Too many mouths to feed and too much work to do every day. (No one to leave in charge of the place while I'm gone, either!)
Very cute. How old is Sahara now?

@MasterKeyKeeper I wonder why she wants to put her foot on the top bar.
