  • what did you use the sticks for? and will the paper burn when the candle might accidentally touch it? :) please reply!

  • @diananilsson2000 you can use plastic or wooden sticks... to carry the lantern (we have a holiday for kids where they carry the lanterns around), there are although electronic candles (little lamps) directly hanging from the sticks, so it can't burn... and yeah that lantern will burn if it gets in touch with fire ... I although used it as a party deco with fairylights in there

  • @DeliriumReal ohhh.... In that case, is there any other wayto prevent it from touching the lantern itself? cause i really wanted to do this one for my project and didnt want to cause any fire :P

  • @diananilsson2000 I sent you a link in a direct message ... it's a German site, but you can see the product and maybe find it in your country

  • @DeliriumReal Hi! :) i was wondering..... Are there any other kind of glue/paste that i could use?

  • @diananilsson2000 I have never tried anything else... but google "paper mache paste" there are different types of recipes coming up (which you although could do with stuff u have at home)

  • sieht echt klasse aus (erinnert mich an meine koelner schulzeit ) und st.martin

  • Cooooolio! Whats the glue called and whered u get it?

  • @kitty0805468 it is wallpaper paste... should be available at a home depot store

  • Great job! Had the sound off but who needs sound when you're on screen? :) Like this idea. Christmas presents this year!!! :P

  • @BrotherStove hehe christmas i coming!

  • @DeliriumReal Hmmmmmmmm... welllll, I may have to find me some time soon and start on this. LOL! I've got a new video myself I'm trying to have ready by next Tuesday that shows how to make Mississippi Mud Pie... my gift to you and the masses. :) I hope it doesn't suck! LOL! Such a cute accent when you say "...ze bottom..." :)

A great, fun idea for making these lanterns. I'm bound to use it when I see all my nephews and neices at Christmas!

  • LOL... the audio was messing with me the whole time... had to rerecord it and didn't actually check it... well I am trying to get rid of the accent at one point... but it is probably not possible... :(

  • Don't even try to get rid of the accent. It's excellent!

  • I am always wondering how it sounds to native speaker...

  • Ha ha. That's a compliment I guess. I am Russian :) (And I live in Latvia)

  • hehe...so we have the same issue... just saw it on your profile... but your english is awesome...

  • And have fun with your nephwes/nieces... you can use green, red and yellow,... make some christmas trees or candles as motives on the lanterns... have fun ;)

  • It would be fun to hear you try an Australian accent :)

  • hehe good idea... it might work if I try to repeat e.g. shaun.... I give it a try someday ;)

  • thanks a lot! And you! how is the greenscreening going on?

  • WOW Sara thats cool :o)

  • hehe sweetie... sigh... sometimes it's good just to be back in childmode ;)

  • I love creative stuff like this. I usually make presents all by myself. On rare ocasions I put something I bought in a self made box with different decorations all over it. I sometimes even ask somebody to help me out with decorations. So in the end we have a kind of collaborative work.

    Take care.

    P.S.

You are right about the glasses. They are uncomfortable. But sometimes I see such cool glasses. I love the old style huge looking glasses.

  • that's cool... I totally love the creative wrapping of presents...

yeah, glasses are uncomfi.... I totally love the big sunglases and I just got several old (big) glasses from the 60s and 70s from my aunt... so cool!

  • wow that's very creative...great video!

  • thanks so much... actually it is part 2 of a video I am working on... couldn't finish it yet...but this goes well alone as a tutorial...

    have a great day!

  • Hey this is killer!!!!! Wow, but I wouldn't trust my self with fire, I might want to pull a Till Lindemann and end up burning my room. :( Hey take a twicpic with those glasses, Chika. You look awesome!!!!

  • oh the glasses always annoy me... it's so more comfort with the contacts... you wouldn't burn down the house.. wait... mh.. although....

when is the shakira contest over??

  • Noooo, not at all you look super cute with them. lol see, deep insdie you know I would burn the house. The contest is over this Friday the 20th. Results: the 25th twit pic twit pic!!!
