I don't discount your experience, but there has been and continues to be significant levels of police participation in political, racial, and class oppression in America. Of course police are also human beings, many who are decent, upstanding, dedicated, and professional (not to mention courageous). I've had the good fortune to have patients who have been POs. Migrant workers who come over to this country should make the same amount of money that US Citizens do. They should be eligible for the same benefits that US citizens are. The bottom line is that they're not.They work hard, because they want a fair chance in the US, or they had to work long hours in their country of origin, and we take advantage of that. @ltsgt1 I'm friends with Latinos so I know first hand about the caste system in their community. I also pay attention to things as well, People think that Hispanics are homogeneous but their not. Theirs White, Black, Native, Mixed, etc. In everytime I look at their programming I see people who could past for White Americans on it, from the Telenovelas to the news programs. You looked at their leaders and they are always European, even those who have majority mixed-race populations like Mexico

Like I was telling that other guy the majority of Mexicans I see over here are Mestizos & Native looking ones....the light skinned European looking ones are apart of the Elite or well to do middle class. @ltsgt1 The Latinos also have a Hierarchy in which South American nations with White Majorities are on top and those whom are more Native or African or at the bottom. South American in general don't really like the term Latino and calling them Hispanics is like calling them racial slur. I remember a group of Venezuelan trade students from my school said they hate when people refer to them as Hispanics or Latinos even...because they will assume their Mexicans. Same for other South Americans.
