I am looking at doing the K04 conversion to my GTi, just worried about the DSG box and reliability...Have you had any problems? Anything I should worry about?
I've had no issues at all. I have giac's dsg flash, and you'd really enjoy the top end power with a dsg flash. I have giac's high output K04 file now, where I had AWE's giac file before, but now I have 15 whp more than in the video. It's lower power and torque than before in the lower rpm's, but more up top 5200rpm to 7000rpm. I'm going to do more vids about a month from now when I do some 1/4 miles on 109 octane.
@zoomdis what type of dyno??? I recently dynod the exact same whp(well...284), but literally almost 100 wtq less torque than you. I take it that was a small torque spike and that it died off and went down considerably???

No DSG worries. I have GIAC's DSG remap and all is working perfectly.

do you have the standard GIAC K04 program or the high-output program?
I just got a K04 for my car (2009 TSI with DSG) last week...holy hell is it fast :D

@acabinian Yes I have the high output file now. I had AWE's K04 file in this video.
I have 15 whp more with the h/o file than in the vid.

The dsg is good. I have the giac dsg flash as well, the launch control is 3700rpm and redline is 7k. A must have w/dsg imo.

I dyno'd it finally and it's got crazy torque:It did -
284.87whp - 363.75ft lbs torque with giac 's 91oct ko4 re-map
