  • it does work. tried on my iphone 4. thanks

  • I used two drops of rubbing acohol and it worked! I have a kid who plays with my phone often with food and crap on his hands, so that's probably what was causing the problem. To think that I drove to the Apple store ealier today so they could try and squeeze $149.00 out of me.....(Just make sure you wait at least 5 mins or so to insure the acohol has dried before you turn your phone back on) Good luck!!!!

  • Okay. I'm back with an unfortunate update. Did it the first time, worked for 15, 20 minutes then made it worse after a bit. Did it another two times and on the second try the liquid went up and inside my screen and now my retina display has blotches on it from the inside. I hope it dries up else my screen is pretty much screwed. Just wanted to give everyone who wants to give this a shot a *heads-up* - its a temp fix that makes you home button worse and goes up to your display as well.

  • Bro, I can't thank you enough! I just mixed a few drops of cologne with a few drops of water and did as you instructed for a few minutes and voila! My home button is almost as good as new if not just as good. God bless you and thanks a million. :-) This was performed on an iPhone 4.

    THANK YOU!!

  • haha, i almost fell for this shit....

  • @Thenike2201 Worked for me! Guess it depends whether the button isn't working because of dirt (the alcohol is a solvent which removes the dirt) or something more terminal for the annoying little button.

  • @Thenike2201 it really worked for me. If your phone home button isn't working well but sometimes then this might clean out the "gunk" under the button.

  • OMG!!! it worked. tried 1st time using perfume, cannot, 2nd time using mouthwash n it worked.thanks

  • My sister recently gave me her old iPhone 3GS with this problem (the home button is hard to press) and I was about to open it when I saw this. I tried it by dipping a finger on alcohol and placing 2 droplets on the home button. At first try it didn't work, so I tried it again more thoroughly, placing three droplets and pressing the different sides to make the alcohol go inside. It then worked as new, thanks so much for this.

  • I was looking into replacing my home button when I stumbled across this video. I used rubbing alcohol I had under the sink. I soaked the top of a cotton swab and rubbed it around my home button. My home button is back to being as sensitive as it was when I got it. I've gotten so used to pressing the button as hard as I could. Thank you for the video!

  • I added some info in Description. Maybe it 's useful for you all. With Love :x

  • @l0000gold Works perfectly in my iPhone 3GS. I don't believe! So thanks...! (Funcionou perfeitamente em meu iPhone 3GS. Eu não acredito! Muito obrigado).

  • hmm the water is alcohol which youcan buy in every store. After dropping some like i did in this video, you press around home button. if you think this is useful for you, thank you.

  • dont try this at home!!!

  • id rather drink the alcohol than put it to my home button..

  • amigos, me no parlos spagnolos (I hope I said that right)

  • @jlcolon100 thanks :)

  • I just did exactly what they showed here... mi home button was stuck and now it works flawlessly, just like new :D THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • okay sooo I'm a girl and sorry but I'm literally stupid, so what kind of alcohol are you talking about? Like beer? Or rubbing alcohol??

  • @MoldyLunchBox79 rubbing alcohol did the trick on my phone

  • 15 minutes later my phone was working after I follow your instructions. You saved me $600.00!!! Keep up the good work on here!!!

  • be careful, you need to use ISOPROPILIC alcohol, not the common one.

  • It really work! I use contact cleaner instead of alcohol . It works the same... Now the home button response like new! Great ! Thanks!

  • @10000gold PLEASE!

  • should i d0 subtitle for this clip lolz?

  • @l0000gold yes please :)

  • OMG That really Works :S It's true.. im the people who don't believe stupid things but this is true WORK! with WATER! its the end of world

  • @dansel7 water in the clip is alcohol

  • @BraveHeartJMU lol really? is alcohol isopropilic? jaja i use water and work same.. well my iphone work normal, i don't need buy another with $600 is a fake

  • Does it really work? Or are you guys just being idiots and saying it does when it doesn't?

  • @MoldyLunchBox79 why will you call people idiots if they are telling you it works?????

i tried 30 minutes ago before I went and bought a new $600.00 i-phone and yes it did work. obviously the button was sticky since I drop some beer on it and the alcohol eliminated the stickingness and it started working within 15 minutes of pushing the button for that long

  • Did anyone else see him turn the phone off?

  • @GoldsGymAddict I don't care if he turned his off or not , but I have the same problem that he has on his video and my phone was working fine 15 minutes later. This little trick save me from spending $600.00 on a new one.
