Right now we are deliberately trying to AVOID civilian casualties in Afghanistan, which means you won't see Apaches (not Comanches, as the project was canceled) strafing Afghan villages.
If there was another terrorist attack on a scale equal to or greater than 9/11, then you might see apaches strafing any villages that were supporting Taliban and/or Al Qaeda IF the attacks were linked to that part of the world.

Yeah and the US did that ll through out the Cold War, but you can look up and see that 1 reason why they did was because they thought the US would invade if they didnt.
