I sold my Aiptek HD cam for a GoPro HD some time ago and I have yet to regret the decision. The biggest benefit I have found is all off the available mounting solutions, I got tired of making or spending way to much money on mounts when GoPro has them for $20. As far as the sound, if you can swing it throw a GoPro on the bumper above the muffler and it gets perfect sound.
