Rob's point is valid to an extent. Steve's incredibly disciplined and talented team that can maintain Apple's profits for years, but it can't be the consistent and unrivaled purveyor of paradigm-shifting cultural change without him. Beyond just masterfully marrying great industrial design and technology, it's his clairvoyance and vision to know what industries, markets, and cultures want when others don't. Apple's most significant products came out under his tenures. Profitable, not legendary.
