I'm not knockin your style or form, don't worry, but just some constructive criticism...
1) in your back swing your ball sways back and form a bit, try and solidify your whole pendulum (shoulder, elbow, and wrist) and it'll cut back on inconsistencies and increase score
2) This one isn't big, but it may help...when you get set, try not to raise the ball up to start your swing. You raise it different heights each shot, and that can change your speed and timing, which cause inconsistencies
Bobbent9- What weight ball are you using? I'm pretty strong, but my 16 pound jazz isn't getting me that great of hook. You obviously have it mastered pretty well. Good job dude! Also, what do you think of the virtual gravity from storm? I just purchased one.
The Virtual Gravity is a good ball. It has a big skid/flip reaction, which personally, I don't like. It's hard to adjust when the lanes change. Still, if you work with it, you'll get it down.
@FancyGapClawhammer - Thanks. Yeah I just used it today and I love how much back end it has. I'm suprised how I can still get it to go straight if I throw to hard. Everyone has said that ball is almost impossible to do that with. I don't do well though when that happens. Slow and easy, then the pins fall.
Haha yeah, it is very hard to do that depending on the drilling. I just got the Storm 2nd Dimension and have that drilled almost lefty so the revs won't affect it so much. I also have the new Storm Invasion on pre-order. You might wanna check that one out too.
mrc0mment0r- He's hitting the pins pretty well. Isn't that what matters??? I wonder what your opinion is of how Jason Belmonte bowls. He bowls two handed, but still does awesome as a pro.
Then you don't have serious bowlers who need a variety of equipment for a variety of conditions. I took a weak ball and drilled it weak, so I have something in line stronger than my XXL, but weaker than most entry-level balls. It works very well on some of the tournament conditions I bowl on after 6-8 games of qualifying.
We do have serious bowlers they adapt by changing wrist positioning, moving forwards and backwards(which changes the time the ball has on the lanes. I only bowl in JBT competitions and they dont do anything with dry conditions they only really do really oily conditions
There are conditions where no amount of wrist-position changes will help an aggressive ball get through torn up heads, and still have hitting power in the back end. Thats what a weak ball/weak drilling will do.
well, I think they are seeing that dark spot near your thumb and assuming. Also, Nice shots there, but you sure carrydown? or depletion? I would say depletion because the longer ball of the 2 (uprising) was hitting good but the jazz was a little flatter. This means it was probably burning up its energy.. right?
The Uprising is the stronger ball, by far. The Jazz will skate through the heads even when they are burnt up, and will still hook when it finds dry. If its not finding that dry, it hits flat, and won't carry. The Uprising is just a strong ball, for any conditions.
I've been thinking about buying the Jazz, I've got a Track Voodoo and a Storm Attitude Shift and need something for lighter oil. What do you think of the Jazz?
It is a very nice light oil ball. I should have put in a few seconds of the layout, its almost Pin on PAP. Which, as you can imagine, almost completely negates the core. Its kind of squirty off the fresh, but I like it.

your pose is not good...
make your hand straight... and ur ball will spin..
ur shot is not good that is not proper..
mrc0mment0r 2 years ago
1) What the hell is a pose? Im not in a photo shoot here...
2) Why would i want to straighten my hand? This particular shot required more sideroll to get the ball to skid/flip like I needed it too.
3) There is no such thing as proper.

dude how can u keep the jazz on the lane mine hooks like a crazy mofo
jerryboy219 2 years ago
The Jazz is drilled Pin on Axis, the weakest possible drilling in relation to the core.

oh... yeah... i work in a pro shop and no one has ever asked for a ball drilled like that
