It's true. I'm not a huge fan of her's and have only heard a small bit of her music. But the little that I have heard sounds like she actually has, or rather had a very unique, throwback kinda voice. The truth of it is though that most of us would have never even heard of her if she wasn't so f'd up. If she led a clean life and was amazingly talented she'd barely be known outside of her local pubs. The relative obscurity of someone like Norah Jones is a good example of this sad cultural fact.

I would say that Norah Jones selling something like 15 million copies of her debut album and not much less of her second album shows that she is not living in obscurity. People need to realize that your typical top 40 radio listener is actually a very small percentage of the listening public.
