@Oldskid496 Excellent Oldsmobility. I'm glad you reworked the 455 instead of replacing it with a chevy like alot of people do. That's gonna be one bad 442 when you finish it. Awesome Job.✔
I love it ! Hey check out my 70 cutlass 442 with matching numbers I'm restoring it with the original block tourqe rallies and all back to it's originality, I can't wait to get her done
What kind of distributor are you running? I also have a Olds 455 that I put in my T/A and I am trying to get all the kinks worked out with timing and tuning, Let me know if there are any tricks with those.
Its coming good, car is now all primed and blocked down. I have other things going on right now so in the spring time I'll final prime and start shooting the paint.
Nicely done my friend nicely done. That thing sounds awsome. I love the Olds Service sign on the building at the end. Got one myself hanging in the garage. Im rebuilding a 455 rocket to put in my 86 442. Should be some where around 700hp when done. Im still using the Q-Jet too. I found out the right way to build one from a guy who drag races his W30
Nice... I'm 46. My stepdad turned me on to 442's, as a teen. I had 4, he had them , and a couple hurst/ olds over the years. My favorite(my first car) a 69 442, with a 68 455 , with 69 w30 heads, and a 66 tripower. Fireball cam, and 2.56 rear gear to round it out. I lived in the mountains, and loved the handling. Be sure to post the progress.
And...BTW...I do custom machining, anodizing, and machining.
