I don't imagine that very many young people know of Uri Geller, who it would seem is the butt of this joke. The line about him being tired may be a reference to Uri's appearance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. There's a video here on YouTube that shows how James Randi was called up by the Tonight Show to advise them on how to set up the props for Uri and how Uri chickened out.
